The cold of winter hung around my bones,
even still, as Summer sung her first songs
I dwelt amongst the dreaming snows-
of yesterdays nights drawn tight around the months.
Light finally had her say and
long now I do play a full days dreamy ways.
The appearance of love in bird song, the flight of a Seagull,
and Summer has finally won my hearts love.
As I sing to her along with the chirping sparrows
I swoon and delight with each new leaf sprung
tree growth and grass cut, the blooming of ringing bluebells
all in time with the Cuckoo, Cuckoo of returning Summer long
longed for, in a heart made for song.
Your lips taste like cigarettes and your thighs feel like porcelain and I just can't decide which I love more
