My Papa,
The time we had 
Wasn't nearly enough 
To pack in an entire 
Lifetime of love

There are so many questions 
That I need answers to 
But now that you're gone 
There's no way to ask you

Why my dear, sweet Papa 
Was taken so soon 
When he was my guiding star 
My sun and my moon

I miss you so much
But I hope and pray
That when it's my time
You'll come for me
I'll see you again someday

Tears that I weep and prayers
Will hopefully travel very far
To reach my loving Papa
Sitting among the stars

Not So Starry Night

As the wind blows
I'm here thinking of you
I miss you so
As I look up to the night sky
The twinkling stars never rearrange

As the moon embraces all my sadness
Unending sorrow and grief
I wanna cry
The darkness surrounds me
It’s getting cold
I’m all alone
With no one to hold

My world is so empty
All what’s left is pain
Just never ending rain

Rainy Days Without You

Like the cloud
Collecting the moisture in memory
I have been alone in misery
Feeling full on failure
Heavy with weight of the world
Sadness is soaked in

Upon the world
I release all my anxiety and pain
Captured inside capsules
I tell it to the rain

I pour my soul from the height of hurt
And you wear my teardrops there
Parachute promises falling
Raindrops from the cloud
You hold no umbrella
Because crying is not allowed...

L I F E

The years have passed by
In the blink of an eye
Moments of sadness
And joy have flown by

Life wasn't easy
And the struggles were there
Filled with times that it mattered
Times I just didn't care

I stood on my own
And I still found my way
Through some nights filled with tears
And the dawn of new days

And now with old age
It's become very clear
Things I once found important
Were not why I was here

And what's really important
Is my opinion of me
And whether or not
I'm the best I can be

And how much more KINDNESS
And LOVE I can show
Before the Lord tells me
It's my time to go...

A Sunset Full of Sadness

Here we go again
As the sun set I sit down and cry
Feeling your sorrow, hurt and pain
When it’s done, all for gain
Drawing away from the past
What’s done is done and shouldn’t last
I know it will soon pass
With peace and love I am filled
My other life stays far behind
Farewell to you and I
My tears have stopped
I have to think for tomorrow's sunrise
A new happiness will rise
