i’ve known you longer than i haven’t

the weight
of time
is lighter
as we carry it
together

our bond
is not
a chain
it’s a light
strong tether

We must not give up
when the road has become rugged
there is so much more
to see
to feel
to taste
to hear
to smell
there is so much magic
waiting to be found
and troavaille.
The elegance of this world
is so much more
than the pain
that we feel within

One window is all I need,
To see what the future will be,
To become the hidden me,
For a trip to the heart,
To see myself for who I am,
And be happy with myself.

you know when someone writes a happy poem
it almost as if it doesn't exist to anyone
when someone writes a happy poem
its almost like no one will ever notice it
poetry isn't just depressing
so where is all the happy lines of good times?
where is the happy poetry?
where is that classic good ole
happy endings?

Finding comfort through self expression
Remind yourself everyone makes mistakes
Tenderness shines in your heart
Sharing is caring
Surrender all  anger
Watch closeness move in
Affection finds you
Glowing starlight, glowing starlight
Radiate sun, warmth
Knowing everyday will be brighter
Reassurance from your voice
Glowing starlight, glowing starlight
Warmth from above
Remember to love
warmth,

It's that moment
when the pieces
of the puzzle
all combine.

And you see a
glorious picture
that you doubted
that you'd find.

And then after
when the pieces
are inspected
each with care.

You see purpose
and see meaning
each too valuable
to spare.
This came to me all at once. It's an attempt to describe the feeling of your mind being blown when everything lines up and finally makes sense.

The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people don’t see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
A little escape from the madness.
Or maybe, into.

Baby steps
One at a time
Moving forward
Building slowly
Moving deftly
I am unstoppable
I wish I felt like this more often...
