Do you know your name?
Or has it escaped your brain?
You stop on the street and ask
"Is this my face or a mask?"
Before you can peel it off
You're distracted by the conjurer's call.

You don't know her name,
That causes you to feel shame
You don't go to ask
Fear stops you in your task
Insecurities fall like dominos
When you look there's only shadows.

You are an ocean of pain.
Blessings and thoughts rush and become a river stream
Flowing into time as they fade into nothingness of life.
Light's outstretched hand trying to illuminate the corners of my mind
But they forgot how much I love the darkness's tranquility.

Join inside my soul and exhale into my breaths.
Try to not pray, your words will become a weapon
Instead mutter promises you cannot dream to ever keep.
That is the safest option when you are living inside reality.

You are an ocean of aches.
Preaching words that convert and blind like sunbeams.
These tides of time never change, instead just adding more strife
And eventually will cause your disciples to go blind.
But my own imagination protects me against your volatility.

Unmoving on the sidewalk, I appear like death
But my ego is hectic inside its confines, not seen in my expression.
If you would like to escape just fall into sleep.
Ignore all the chastising words and be carefree.

Do you remember her name?
Maybe she comes with fame?
But before you go ask,
"Hey are you from my past?"
She is lost in the crowd
You notice the world is loud.

Do you remember his name?
Maybe he comes with fame?
When you go over to ask
His image does not last
All that's left is a shimmer
Now your day is grimmer.

Do I know your name?
Don't be shy, I am tame
Have you seen the raven
Flying inside the haze?
Or  the black cat
Walking through the buzz?
Maybe the white wolf
Laying in the alleys?

No, I guess you don't
You don't remember do you?
Don't remember the faces or the places
Of mistaken voices, misplaced memories
Gas-lighting has done a real number on you.

They told me about you
Your little white bunny
You tried to escape me
Wanted to be free
Thought that people
Would hide you from evil
You thought I was that evil, huh.

But a word of advice from a sage conjurer

Don't try to glide through the crowd,
I don't want to see you drown.
I want you to escape
This fool's paradise.
