love leaves
inevitable footprints,
indelible heart-prints.
sadly, they're not
always in the pathway;
often instead
the roses are trampled
by careless feet,
and gardenia petals
once fragrant and white,
become brown and crushed
from hands eager, but rough.
ignorant, clumsy words
spill the wax leaving
only a smoldering
wick to remain
of love's candle,
though bright
was its flame.
it is then this
garden of the heart
becomes more
a surgical ward,
than a cultivated
garden yard;
no more the
backyard retreat, but
feeling more like
a traffic-choked,
chaos-filled, city street.
forced to await
the quiet of night
for peace to return;
for the candle
extinguished
once more to ignite.
and for hands with
a gardener's touch,
gentle and skilled,
to restore beauty
once more;
along with
the fragrance
of returning hope.

You contribute to poetry in ways I can't explain.
Don't be persuaded to believe your writing is in vain,
No matter what they say.
I think every poet MUST hear this every once in a while. Especially on days when we feel we can't write anymore and feel really dull. You're welcome! ;)

Tears of sorrow

Tears of pain

Tears that gleam with light

Tears of despair

Tears of heartbreak

Tears that keep you up all night

Tears of joy

Tear of grief

Tears that are buried deep inside

Tears of abuse

Tears of embrace

Tears that are too hard to hide

Tears of death

Tears of life

Tears that make you smile

Tears of hope

Tears of chance

Tears that haven't shown in a while...

Fidgety Midget
From across the table he looks at me most lovingly
Making those eyes where
his emotions he cannot hide

He takes my hand
and strokes my finger

He says it's too soon for a wedding band
But that is what he has planned

My heart was bursting and full of love
We fit together like a hand in a glove

Now you're gone
Big dreams, big love, sudden death

Silence Screamz
Razor edge
of dampened steel
Press it down
cold blue feel

Eyes are down,
I see the mark
seeping red
crimson dark

Sad clear day
stopping time
Rest the wicked
Hear the chime
Sliced wrist to ease the pain, seeking no way out
