A handsome brilliant poet bathed in sunlight's glow
at a large picturesque window

He slowly sipped his succulent wine
And contemplated as he dine

Though was still a winter's evening,
was mild like an early spring

A strange and unusual  night unlike the norm
He noticed as he penned his poem

He smoked a cuban cigar, and lit a fragrant incense
And his poem of such magnificense

A quintessential beauty was left unfinished
By the gentleman so distinguished

As the spider, she crawled back into the crevice
of the ornamental trellis

Passed  the  lake  last  evening.
It  looked  dark,dank  and  threatening.
In  the  fast  fading  light.
The  moody  mountains  stood  tall.
With  thick  mist  swirling  across.
In  ghostly  fashion.
A  complete  contrast  to  the  summer  view.

Color is light. Color is grace. Color is a garden.

Since when was white not a color.

Since when was white the other.

Since when was white not your brother.

You are no better than us. We are no better than you. You are a color like us. We are a color like you.

Color is a gift. Color is magic. Color is our skin.

Color is divine. Color is no mistake.

Color is just a color.

Color is a window.

Color is bliss.

Color is the Lord’s stage.

Color is alive. Color is eternity.

Color is noteworthy.

Color is original. Color is a story.

Color is extending.

Color is our breath.

Color is sunshine. Color is our life line.

Color is captivating.

Color is our wings.

Color is love.

Color is beautiful.

Color is you. Color is I. Color is he. Color is she. Color is us.

Awesome Annie
Waking up
in arms
that don't fit.

An unfamiliar room
that reeks
of alcohol and sweat.

Clothes scattered
along with
my inhibition.

Their fingerprints
now forever burned
into my skin.

A need
that consumes
absent of emotion.

This part of myself
I carelessly abandon
in bed sheets.
She used to be
A full moon,
But now she's only half,

She used to be a bubbly little explosion,
But now she can barely laugh.

She used to be a bright, sparkly,
Shiny little star,
Hanging in a pitch-black sky,

But now she's but a shooting star
Falling from way up high.

She used to be on-top of the world,
Until it came crashing down,

The ground beneath her steardy feet
Was stolen by an evil clown.

She used to be a carefreee,
Lively girl -
Loving endlessly,

Now she's but a hopeless fool
Crying and dying
On the inside -
Daily and nightly.

Nothing stays the same!
We can only pray
And try to stay strong.

God bless anyone who is hurting -
Anyone feeling alone!

Not so long ago
in this land of Poetry
you see

I was Used, Abused
and Misused
and like that wasn't
enough

I was then Stripped, Ripped
and Flipped
Stomped, Cursed
and Kicked

And finally,
Finally when I thought
they were done with me

Well this ringleader,
Mr. So and So
His pride
must've been really sore
Not exactly sure why though
Anyway
He wasn't satisfied
Until he gave me more
An experience on Hello Poetry
