The sun still shines on your face
I'm desperate to see you again
I haven't been here for such a long time
I guess we're not the best of friends
Anymore

You look so beautiful now
Hard to believe but somehow,
All the colours of summers
We spent together; whenever
I'm with you.

'Course I've got a cigarette we can share
And I really don't mean to just stare
I still find it hard to talk to you
With this distance in between
But At least I can see
The sun still shines on your face.

My oldest flame
Never too soon
To see you again
Let's not pretend
A kiss on the lips
That's all I ask
You and I both know
This just won't last

Was I born with a curse
Or never born at all
As the living get livid
From Time to time

I don't know of anger
Can't say I'm happy
And I won't say I'm sad
All that I know is
My oldest flame

And she don't go to bed
She just sits by my side
'Til the morning
Comes pouring through the curtains crack

Good morning my flame
Good night to all
Let me hide in the shadows until the curse has been lifted
Crooked ol' smile
To the side on my face
Eyes, half the size
Of a younger man
And closer together

The years took their toll
But she took much more
As the curse starts to rise
I realise how sad I've been
All my life long

Cut short by the curse
That's goes by the name..
My Oldest Flame

Betrayal in the lunch hour,
He sought me out again.
He said, this time you're dead.
Wipe your smile,
Wipe your smile,
Wipe your smile,
Then he punched me in the head.

Betrayal in the lunch hour,
Don't you see,
Im dreaming of feelings I don't have to hide.
I have feelings of dreaming you laid by my side.
Why would I ever want to upset you,
I only regret to -
Inform you,
I like you more than I should.

Betrayal in the cloakroom.
That's not your coat,
He said that's not your peg,
Move your bag,
Move your bag,
Move your bag,
Then he kicked me in the leg.

Betrayal in the cloakroom.
Don't you see,
I'm to be the groom of a groom to be.
Why would I ever want to upset you,
I only regret to -
Inform you,
I like you more than I should.

The light aids our growth
As we grow
The world grows darker
Does that make sense?
Yes
Should it?
No.

Precious pretty child
You will see the future
Not I
She smiled back at me
Understandingly
How much can a child understand
I possess all the knowledge of the near future
But nothing of the far.
By the time you're old enough to drive
Will they even have cars?
Just by breathing
You're signing up for the front line
Everything is militant in the future
Don't let them brainwash you
Precious pretty wild
Flower.

Like gambling?
Take a risk,
Take a shot of whiskey
Take six
Your night could end badly
Or brilliantly

For me there is no gamble
I don't care what happens
I am a shambles
I am a shaman
This is my daily ritual
Call it habitual
It's not an addiction, unless its a problem
Is it?

No problem
Only a solution
This liquor solution
Could be the conclusion, to my night
Or an insight,
To a new dimension
A new realm of reality
Something closer to my fantasy

Realistically, there is no risk
I know where we're heading
I steer this ship.
Have a glass of gin
Have six.
I'll give you an endless supply of possible outcomes
You just take your pick
I don't care what happens.
