All alone in this state of desperation
am I the only one, willing to fight
As if im waiting at this old station
waiting to be spiritually elevated into flight

too bright to be trapped inside this mediocrity
waiting to escape the grasp of this city

I can feel the potential within me
my teachers claim that it is and has been
Dead

My parents ask only for me to conform
I deep down know that I will never
Instead I ask for a complex reform
No
I beg for change

We are being blinded every day
I feel my eyes slowly closing
I feel my nails digging into my eyelids
Begging for them to open

I then wake up
and do exactly what the system has taught me to do

With remains of the abundance of scars
on my eyelids

and no change
fight the system.

The happiest man I see all day
cleans up after us depressed college kids
While we chase jobs that aren't our dreams
And drown ourselves in liquor so we don't feel a thing
While we smoke ciggerates to exhale all the pain
And it really makes me wonder what were doing here if the happiest man I see all I day is only just a janitor.
I talk in a way,
that, the things that I say
Start to portray
how my sanity plays,
In the hands of the devil......
A subtle treble.

but maybe
it is at times like this
when you feel the most desolated
   and alone

you think of how it would be like
to be loved
  or to love
someone you can call your own

not everyone is that lucky
to have that somebody
  they either have their thoughts
   or nobody

and it is at 1:23am when you feel most
lonely;
  desperately
   wishing for love
Have you ever held your hand still
Just above a river’s passing water
Liquid rushing by reaching for your skin
Jumping up; eager to commune with you
Beckoning you to dip a finger in
Her body is poetry and her curves are the words.
Her eyes are the hook and her lips, a cryptic verse.
As much as she pours out, there's not much you'll really know.
There's memories she hides, and even more that she won't let go.
She's simple at its best, yet chaotic at her worst.
She'll catch you with her hook, and leave you with her verse.
