The only difference
between an Adventure and an Ordeal
is your attitude.
the yellow sun
was shining down
on grass and sand and waves
it was a place
where children went
to laugh
and dance
and
play.

as molly ran
and wandered off
she found a magic thing
a deep blue house
carved out of stone
in which the wind
would sing.

the other children
climbed about
and gazed into
the cave
and johnny said
“i’ll lead the way”
(because he was most brave)
and tad and tommy
followed him,
for they were big
and strong
while alice chose
to stay outside
but molly tagged along.

the dark was very chilly
and the silence, very wet
johnny shivered and looked back
but couldn’t leave
just yet.
now molly didn’t notice:
awe
and wonder
filled her eyes;
she found a solace
in the stillness,
comfort,
in the pitch black sky.

when suddenly, there came a rustle
from a hundred winged things
as dark as sin
with deep red eyes
shrieking
just like rusted swings.

tommy was the first one out
(his long legs made him fast)
then john and tad
ran into alice
and tumbled on the grass.
and when the world
had settled down,
the quiet had returned
they saw that one
was not around
and they became concerned.

but don’t you worry,
little molly
was fine as fine can be
as she uttered boldly to the dark:
“you never frightened me"
Do you ever wonder when the world is cold?

Do you ever wonder why the world is clay?

Do you ever wonder how lights makes its way?

Do you ever wonder what makes life seem so old?

I wonder and wonder, and I've never known.
You don't smile so much
I really like when you do
Have I made you smile?
ah, haiku
In the middle of a busy day
I find you creeping into my thoughts
And anything I was doing
Simply slips away

I wonder

Do you ever think of me?

I wonder

Will my heart ever be free?

I wonder

I always wonder what I am in other peoples eyes.
My Beloved,

I wonder where you rest your head tonight
I wonder the warmth of your skin
I wonder if you laughed, or cried today
I wonder what your hope lies in

I wonder if you have talent, or wittiness, or charm
I wonder if you wish to have me tucked beneath your arm

I wonder where you are tonight and why you're not with me
But I know soon enough, My Love, together we will be
Love,
Your Love
I wonder who we are,
who I am.
if I am we, then what is they?
Are we stardust collections? Are they?
Perhaps, perhaps not.
Maybe the better question is not what we are,
but what we do.
I typically wander into the tropics of my skull
Where the need for adventure lies
And the thoughts that keep me alive are caged up
I hear if you stay away for the tropical parts of your mind
Your dome turns as thin and fragile as paper
And all the thoughts that keep you sane-- die

Think
I walk down
I walk around
All my movements lead to the same ground
I run to find an exit but the door never comes
I Run up
I Run around
But still I touch the same ground
I'm panicking but I would never give up.
This maze as me trap
