I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE STARS IN THE SKY
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE RAIN IN THE SUMMER
MORE THAN THE SUNLIGHT WHICH TRICKLES THROUGH MY CURTAINS IN MID-WINTER
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE FLOWERS WHICH GROW WILD
AND MORE THAN THE YELLOW BUTTERFLY I ONCE CAUGHT BUT THEN LET GO BECAUSE IT WAS TOO BEAUTIFUL TO HOLD CAPTIVE AND I WANTED TO SHARE THAT BEAUTY WITH THE WORLD
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE RIVER I ONCE JUMPED IN AND THE CLEAR WATER THAT SPLASHED ON MY FACE AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS WASHING AWAY THE PAST
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE GREEN OF THE GRASS AND THE RED OF THE ROSES AND THE BROWN OF THE OAK THAT GROWS BEHIND MY HOUSE
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE SOUND OF THE BIRDS IN THE MORNING AND THE CRICKETS WHICH CHIRP LATE AT NIGHT AND THE LITTLE KITTEN WHO COMES TO VISIT ME EVERY NOW AND THEN IN HOPES OF FINDING A SNACK
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE WIND WHICH BLOWS AWAY MY FEARS AND THE RAIN WHICH DROWNS MY TEARS AND THE SUN WHICH WARMS MY HEART AND THE MOON WHICH GIVES ME HOPE AND THE STARS WHICH GUIDE ME HOME
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ALL THESE THINGS COMBINED AND I MUST SAY THAT COMING FROM ME, THAT IS A VERY VERY VERY BIG STATEMENT BECAUSE MY HEART HAS ALWAYS BELONGED TO THE WILD AND THESE ARE WHAT MAKE UP MY VERY EXISTENCE
THESE ARE WHAT GIVE ME PURPOSE AND PROVE TO ME THAT LIFE IS WORTH LIVING
THESE ARE MY REASON TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING AND FALL ASLEEP TO AT NIGHT
AND IF YOU’VE MANAGED TO CAPTURE MY SOUL AND FREE MY HEART TO THE POINT WHERE I LOVE YOU MORE THAN NATURE AND ITS MIRACLES THEN I MUST SAY THAT YOU HAVE INDEED CLAIMED EVERY PART OF ME BECAUSE TRULY I NEVER THOUGHT IT WAS POSSIBLE TO LOVE ANYTHING OR ANYONE MORE THAN I DID THE FEELING OF FRESHLY CUT GRASS AGAINST MY BARE FEET BUT YOU’VE PROVEN ME WRONG
*AND I DO, I DO, I SWEAR TO YOU, I DO LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING, ANYTHING IN THE WORLD
// just a moment of absolute happiness & wonder & delight, in case the all-caps hadn't already given that away //
You told me the sky was your favorite poem.
"What do you see?"

Silver switchblade eyes cut the horizon into dozens of little clouds.

"I see a crib and a graveyard."

Why?

"Because if you'd think a little harder my love, you'd understand the true meaning of 'this place is both my home and my coffin.'"
.
I'm depressed again.
How fitting.

stalks the high ground

The one who sees

//        //       //

Bares his mortality

and whatever strength is there

In the fields the maidens move about

( the men are in the factories )

freedom !

The song that drifts

                                                     ( Appears : fades : reappears )

Love !                                                                   drowns
                               within the sense of slavery

for the future is dead

Fierce with life

THE WARRIOR STANDS THE HILL AT DAWN !

the pipes sound !

The beating drums !

Every heart to its own destiny !

What is real ?

What is fake ?

YOU DECIDE

//

                          in this eternal morning

( when fate calls you by name )

and you paint the image of yourself , by yourself

The only one that shall remain

Called

THE HUMAN RACE

many are called , few are chosen
One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice—
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"
each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do—
determined to save
the only life you could save.
She steps into the dark swamp
where the long wait ends.

The secret slippery package
drops to the weeds.

She leans her long neck and tongues it
between breaths slack with exhaustion

and after a while it rises and becomes a creature
like her, but much smaller.

So now there are two. And they walk together
like a dream under the trees.

In early June, at the edge of a field
thick with pink and yellow flowers

I meet them.
I can only stare.

She is the most beautiful woman
I have ever seen.

Her child leaps among the flowers,
the blue of the sky falls over me

like silk, the flowers burn, and I want
to live my life all over again, to begin again,

to be utterly
wild.
It is easy
Just to give up
Just to stay in bed
Why bother

This can be anyone
A friend, a teacher, a bully
Someone from home
A sibling, a father, a mother

This could be you
It is easy to want to cry
Hide away
Just disappear

But you are told no
Be strong
This is your burden
It is yours to bear

Just going trough life
Going trough the motions
Wear your mask
Wear your smile

Will the feeling last
How long
Will it go away
Or is it staying awhile

Am I stuck
Trapped in this cage
Going around in a rut
No way out

No one will hear me
No one will listen
No matter what
Even if I yell and shout

Everyone feels like this
But we only know the me
It is only how I feel
No one knows how I feel

But everyone have these feelings
Everyone thinks this way
But we built this wall
This is real

You can't come in
The wall is up
You don't know
Just to give up on everything

This is the life we are given
The life we live
This is the story that is written
The song we sing
