Seated at my table,
you’ll find me, myself, and I
All three different versions talk
yet do not bat an eye
You must be invited here
it’s not an open door
And if nothing is brought with you,
your feet may hit the floor
You see, here at my table
are the l ones that I let in
It’s few and far between
but sometimes they may sit
And when you’re at my table there
must be something to present
Or else the clock is ticking
and your time will all be spent
It’s always been myself here,
some have eaten some have stayed
Some have packed their food to go
And left me there unpaid
But if you’d care to join me
At my table you may eat
Be sure you have your wallet
Or you will not have a seat
This poem is a story about who i allow into my life. There are so many people we come in contact with. Friends, family, acquaintances, coworkers, etc.
if you’re like me, you don’t always let these people into your life. And the ones you do allow yourself to be vulnerable with must provide something for you. If they do not present anything more to your life than you already have, but take from it, then those people are not worth having.

~~~
I open my eyes with a blurry vision.
The light strikes me with a forceful collision.
I blink. I cringe.
I stretch and breathe
then raise up slowly to my feet.
With a cloudy perspective
and hazy eye-sight,
I encounter my objectives
and march toward the light.
A crescent moon in mellow skies
My heart, she beats for you
Just as the ocean wanes her tide
The moon is fading too
-::-
Before you go I’ve one more task
Once more you must now do
Look to me past oceans vast
And say you’ll miss me too
- you’re already gone and fading away. I never had you to begin with. Bright as the moon but as far as the horizon line, tell me you want me.
Firefly dances liven the night
Painting their artwork with flickering light.
The chatter of crickets beneath the trees
The whistle of leaves that sway in the breeze
The croak of the frog resounds over all
From the damp soil around the grass tall
The songs of the darkness master a tune
And play their instruments by the light of the moon
There once was a house that sat all alone
With untended shrubs and shattered windows
The walls were lackluster. The rooms were vacant
The ceiling and floors were cracked like the pavement
This house was abandoned; without an owner
And insects and rodents had all taken over
But one fateful night as it was storming
Lightning flickered without fair warning
The house ignited with blazing fire
And burned from within like a funeral pyre
This broken home came tumbling down
And, nothing but ashes covered the ground
A frigid night--
the frosty air.
I shiver in the wake..
My fragile, numb fingers
attempt to touch my face.
I'm frozen....
The crisp, biting wind
gusts violently toward me..
I exhale a visible breath
and trudge onward
over the frozen lake.
Her
She was a vision of perfection
With a heart as cold as stone
Her features full of beauty
Yet she remains alone
She wears a crown of triumph
But tears, they scar her face
She proclaims her inner strength
With ample fallen grace
And while her heart cries out for love
Her frigid feet won't dance
She's terrified and frightened of
A life without a chance
I saw you in the darkness
In the silent space, you were
Surrounded yet alone as a
Luminescent blur
-:-
A lamp which glowed before me
I was startled, yet in awe.
For the light that you were casting
Glimmered brightly without flaw
-:-
And as I reached my hand to you
I discovered you were far
Although you seem so near to me
You’re only but a star
-:-
I’ll dream of you my northern star
My distant, stellar guide.
For even in the morning sun
You’re brighter than the sky
The longing for something/someone you cannot reach.
Like ashes from a burning sea
Her sandy beaches lay
Shored upon the land it coats
From forceful ocean wave
And as the tide draw up at dusk
The beach is coaxed within
Until tomorrow she must hide
Til tide retreats again
Tell me you love me
With unending measure
My heart will bleed gold
Like a chest full of treasure
Beating and breathing
My thorax expands
With pumps of gold blood
From this heart to your hands
You make my heart whole
Once you draw near
So tell me you love me
For I need to hear.
life is a canvas splattered with paint
the artist moves swiftly while lacking constraint
brushes drag slowly leaving their marks
over and under they draw their smooth arcs
and like these arcs which go up and go down
our everyday lives travel circles around
the tracks of the coaster which land at the top
and fall to the bottom in one sudden drop
like a drop of acrylic on the canvas below
which lands on the surface and stars in the show
Upon deceit I've built a kingdom;
A mighty fortress declaring freedom.
She stands up tall; brave as can be
And gazes outward toward the sea.
But when one’s castle’s built on sand,
There is a chance it may not stand.
For secrets hide behind her doors
And crawl through cracks beneath her floors.
Until the light sheds on the lies,
The castle wears her sweet disguise
And secrets linger without a sound
Until the kingdom tumbles down.
Twinkling stars fall from the night sky
and gently descend to the earth-
Like a dew drop kissing a blade of grass,
the glittery white star nestles herself amongst the others-
The stars sugar coat the vast green space
and eliminate color from below.
oceans blue and waters deep
adventure hides while i seek
vast clean space that doesn't age
new beginnings turn the page
the world is out for me to find
faces and names to which i’m blind
the world, she calls and beckons me
persuading me gently out to sea.
Oceans blue and waters deep;
adventure hides while i seek.
Vast clean space that doesn't age-
Yet, ever changing as a wave.
The world is out for me to find,
full of nature’s undefined.
The world, she calls and beckons me-
persuading me gently out to sea.
It's glow is always on
One should surely let it shine
Before it's dim and gone
