He rolled into my little sandy town
And drew me in like the moon pulls the tide.
We played on the beach till the sun went down
And danced in the dunes, under a star-soaked sky.

The air was heavy in the summer heat
And his skin was soft when he held my hand.
We walked with the ocean in our bare feet
Making footprints in the warm ivory sand.

We only had three short months by the bay
Now our summer’s a memory haunting
Like the ocean tide you drifted away
And left me with a bunch of nothing.

Heartbreaks, like seashells, are a dime-a-dozen
But there’s nothing sweeter than summer loving.

Set sail on a clear day
at dawn, my love boat.
Facing the enormity of the seas
light waves, soft against the hull
pushing forward .

Coy observer,
of the seas that meet ,
bestowing their souls
to the ocean.

Reluctant, hesitant
shying away, blushing red
as she sees the ocean
now open his arms to her.

Took slow steps into the
fathomage of the ocean
showed her brazen self to him
And flew away the cloak
that bounded her screaming soul.
One ghastly day,
a storm broke through,
it broke the hearty ocean.
And went away all the seas,
leaving the boat deserted.

Waves got higher and stronger
hitting the stern every minute.
didn't topple, the love boat
the mast ,still saving her.

And days from then,
the boat still sailed,
in the wide wide ocean.
No island in sight, but
stood strong with waves
in its favor.
Sailing, just sailing, My Love Boat.

If by chance you see
my soul in sensless wander
Know I am not lost

She never noticed the love He offered
She never knew His Heart
He wanted more of Her
What She performed wasn’t enough
She just never spent time in His Presence
Doing all the right things
She had tried to please Him
but yet...
Saddest words ever
“I never knew You”
Now read the lines backwards... I saw someone else had shared a poem that could be read forward and backwards not too long ago.  So I decided to try it too.  Its harder than it sounds :)

Take the pain of before
and hold on to it no more
Let the sound of the rain
drum out all the unwanted pain.
Forgive and Forget
like there's nothing left
Dream of better days
like flowers blossoming in May
And say goodbye
to everything that makes you cry.

Tara India
the promise-laden air of 3am
lies stifling, stilled and sad
upon those who whisper into it
the darkest hopes and fears of man

the grass sways at any hour --
wind breathes alike under moonlit skies
as through baby blue air; yet
only one can burn my mind

unholy sit the grinning stars who
know my secrets and desperation,
the howling wolf that breathes, bites
in my chest, only in night's nation

why only under the sleeping haze
can I admit that the daylight burns
can I pour out my soul and own
the emptiness that swallows me in return

hushed tones and hushed hours carry
a safety: there my undoings are released
content at 3am -- 3pm holds my tongue
I drown in what lies underneath

my brittle hair holds my secrets
cracked teeth and skin contain my lies
shaking legs carry me until night's comfort
and the devil sits behind my eyes

You answered just a little too fast.
It surprised me.
I haven't seen you in about a year,
And I am realizing I've missed you.
It surprised me.
The last time I saw you,
And the time before that,
You were intoxicated.
It surprised me.
I haven't seen you in about a year,
And I am realizing what you are to me.
It surprised me.
You are a dress without hems or seams.
I hardly know you but you are beautiful.
You are the bullet in the rotating cylinder of the gun to my head.
You dig through my skull and explode my amygdala.
And force me to love you.
You are the jam in the barrel as I pull the trigger.
I fell to the ground in realization:
You both killed me and saved me.
It surprised me.
