Give me something bluesy
Something soulful
Like a cold night where your breath fogs the air
Or a light summer rain that makes you ache to jump in a puddle

Give me awe
Something inspiring
Like a painting with a small smear
Or the little bit of pink in every sunset

Give me something eveloping
Something consuming
Like the thick tendrils of cigar smoke in a crowded bar
Or that first sip of coffee, warm and soothing on your tongue

Give me something
honey too sweet
his words flow like rich whiskey
          aged and wise
                with a hint of fun
The words rise you up
Exalt you
Set you on a pedestal

But then the words come down
They hug you like a noose
The pededstal collapses

You claw at the know with drugs & alcohol
With parties & bad decisions
Anything to loosen the rope
Anything to put the pedestal back underfoot

And it works... For now
But for how long?
  Sep 2018 Would Be Wanderer
Survived
While talking to Moon i asked "How can she sleep peacefully after hurting me so badly?"

"Because you wished for her happiness."
Moon replied
What do you do when the words don't come?
When inspiration strikes but nothing comes out?
A spark that won't catch
No hope to find the flame
A snowflake without form
Never to be a snowman

The words are there
They sit like bittersweet sensations at the edge of your tongue
You aches to get them out
To turn bittersweet to saccharine

Get them out. Set you free
Escape in there
Your fingertips can graze the page
Ink stains smear beneath your caress
Release is there, so close
But the words don't come
