Life can be
Such a mess
So get out there
And do your best

You fell down
Well, get back up
I never meant
To be so rough

The world is fast
And it ain't fair
Love is hard
And it's cold out there

Life can be such a mess
It's up to you
To do your best...
Surely
The day will be light
Darkness will be night
The wind will blow
While rivers flow
The sun will glow
As night creatures lay low
Why trouble incessantly
With what happens tomorrow
As long as earth remains earthly
All will come and go
i've been in love with someone that
didn't love me back, and i've been loved
by someone that i didn't love back. and
i don't know which was worse; to be
broken or to break another soul.
god made stars
for starving poets

when they look up
they forget
how hungry they are

Be who you want to attract,
Before you start "searching" for the right person,
Be the right person,
Find yourself,
Be comfortable with who you are,
Find happiness within you,
If someone is the only basis of your joy,
I'm afraid,your joy might be a mirage.
Sorry but its only in fairytales where frogs get to kiss princesses lol..

It's hard to write a poem
When there's nothing going on
It's hard to think of what to say
When you've given most of it away

As poets we never scratch the surface
We delve within, disclose our deepest sin
We crave our pain, declare it's for our art
Yet more often than not have no idea where to start

But start we do and start we must
A deep desire in all of us
To spill out on the written page
What little bit we have tried to save

Ink now is the poets blood
Fragments of self pour from within
Silence is our safety net
To stop us from bleeding out

Although it's hard to write a poem
With nothing going on
We still find words to form a verse
From deep within our marrow bone

you can't explain to someone how it's always raining
you know how hard it's poured for the last year
only you know how many times you've fallen and the water is ankle deep
don't you dare try to explain to someone who is only sunshine that you're drowning
the water is everywhere and they never knew you didn't know how to swim
don't bother telling them
they couldn't ever understand
people keep telling you to stand up they repeat it over again and again
stand up they say it's not that deep
but only you know how the water has built up inside you and only a cut can relieve the pressure
but you're five months clean and you just have to battle the ocean waves which are stronger than you
one day you might be stronger than the raging waves but as of tonight you are not
so I'd learn how to swim if I were you
Doctor please,
Crack open my rib cage
and let the light seep in.
Take this monster out of me.
Scrape it off my bones
and tear it out,
I can feel it growing larger
with every breath I take.
Doctor please,
this is killing me.
