National Poetry Month
Why, hello there again! It's been some time since I've posted. There's lots to tell, and we'll get to all that in the coming weeks, but for now I'd like to introduce you to Hello Poetry's newest (and only!) staff member: Valerie. Some of you might have already met her, as she's been helping me respond to your messages over the last month. I'm sure she'll be a wonderfully creative addition to our community and has already proposed a nice idea for National Poetry Month, which I'll let her describe to you directly... speak to you soon.

Hello Poets!

As Eliot mentioned above, I'm Valerie and I'm stoked to be here with you guys :)

Hello Poetry has shown me such brightness already. I love the support you share with each other, while also sharing bravely what matters most in life or in just a moment. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better.

But let's cut to the chase: it's National Poetry Month, so we'll be publishing a writing prompt here on the blog every day of the month. It's quite a challenge--to write a poem every single day--but it's okay if you skip a day or post a poem several days later, as long as you give the prompt a try!

Today is, of course, April Fools', so let's write something in the spirit of the fools and the jokers in our lives. Tag it #npmfool so we can read them!

Enjoy, and catch you tomorrow!

Valerie
