1
You cover everything
in a blanket of white
making the world simpler

2
In fairy tales
you are created by fear and magic,
but you bring
peace and hope

3
You come from water
and from the sky
just like the sun and the moon
and everything else that is good

4
You are so powerful
that the weak fear you,
but
the strong look up to you

5
You are the one thing everyone has in common
you are made of water
and so are we
So in some ways,
you unite us

In his little striped suit

and little grey boots
he waddles home in the evening

He comes home from work
With all his little quirks
and his eyes shining proud gold

With his head held high
and his tail waving bye
he sets his prize at the door
This is a funny poem about my cat.
Ice
Arabella May 2015
Ice
Ice is what people slip on,
Cars crash on,
And animals die on

Ice is what makes you be able to walk
on water

Ice is unforgiving,
Haunting you.

Ice is like a cold, sharp knife
piercing your heart

Ice is the last thing you see
when it is too thin

Ice is what is between life or death

You plunge
or,
you keep yourself upright
and let the ice hold you
This is a weird poem, but why not

The impossible
That many try to be is
What we call perfect
The impossible perfect

With
pieces that attach to each other,
And
pieces that don’t,
Puzzles
are like my mind.
Hard
to put together,
But
once arranged correctly,
Everything
makes sense.
I think this poem describes me, because I am confusing like a bunch of puzzle pieces

Falling slowly on
the ground Makes a world of white
perfect crystals glow
