Behind the Mask Nov 2013
It's the time of the year
To say goodbye
To give our parting hugs
To flash our last wavering smile.

It’s this time of the year
Where we determine how true
The essence of friendship is
How long would it last

And it is this time of the year
Where I discovered
None of the friendships made
Were made out of diamond: strong
Made out of rubber: flexible
Made out of pure truth

Lies upon lies
Built up on a weak foundation
Threatening it to topple
To collaspe and to fall

Its heartening to see
What true friendship can do
But yet disheartening to know
That true does not exist too.

I find that in life
People fail to grasp
The meaning behind it
The essence of why we live

Simple rules to adhere,
Pure and divine

One, love greatly.
Two, live simply.
Three, be happy.
Four, smile brightly.

Four simple rules,
Not just digits
But a guide to how to live life
To the fullest.

Time, it's approaching.
Running towards me,
No, hurtling.
I open my arms,
to embrace it, with happiness, joy, esctasy.
Because, freedom, finally. Freedom.

But yet, when I have Time in my arms,
Its sneering, snarling
Leering at me
Cruelly reminding me that
She will be gone soon,
Going, going,* gone.

I love trips.
All kinds of trips:

Road trips
Food trips
Shopping trips
Sunset trips
Random trips

Except one:
*Guilt trips

The hand is working hard
But the brain, slacking
Eyes tearing from strain-
Words swimming

Lets go for a dip in Nodland shall we?
Behind the Mask Oct 2013
Who are you?
I no longer know.

Who am I?
I no longer show.

What are you?
Something discardable

What am I?
Just a piece of irrelevant material.
Behind the Mask Oct 2013
I beg to differ.

In this world, the word 'true' has long been non-existent.
