wrinkled sheets, so you'd know,

God and Me (translation)
drown in the depths of soul
and never resurface
I was set to find myself
yet ended up finding God
My soul is caged
in confinement of my body
break the lock
So I can find myself

There she was
lying still on the couch
posing the best she could
with her gaze transfixed
deep into his eyes
basking in the thick silence
that surronded them
the only sound of his charcoal lead
stroking the paper could be heard
His every stroke defined her curve
a little better
His rough hands blending the lines
staining her soul a beautiful shade of charcoal
She could feel him
making sure strokes
thus bringing the woman on paper
to life
she felt her heart slipping ...
slipping from her hand
and on to the paper
the color of her skin fading
and reappearing on his masterpiece
the fullness of her lips
was nothing
as the beauty on his canvas
now owned it
the last thing she felt
was the twinkle of her eyes leaving
adding the final touch
to his creation
and it was when
he broke the eye contact
taking with him
the beauty he sketched  
he left ...
not knowing that
He left the masterpiece behind
on the couch .... !!

"i'll save you, always." his voice was full of emotions, as he drowned in the depth of brown irises in front of him.
"No you can't...
you can't always save me" the flakes of darkness tainting her angelic voice brought him back in time
and it was when he realised
she was right.

and then there were nights
when she craved pain ...
cause a pain stemming from
a **** on her arm could save
her from the ache
originating from her heart

and then there were days
when she begged death
to set her free ...
cause in those moments
she felt her heart entrapped
in cage

and then there were his words
all soothing and caring
it was when she wanted
nothing but to live
protected in his arms
listening his heart, beat ..

and then there was edge of light ..
where she was standing
right where darkness begins
waiting for him to decide
either to save her soul
or let the darkness take over !!

when the falling rain drops
generated purple music
and last rays of evening sun
painted the clouds crimson,
she felt nothing but blue !!

sometimes i wonder ...
if you read the words i write
and
understand the ones my pen fails
to compose on paper ...
or if you ever find yourself hidden between the lines ...
and
know it's always been about you !!

there she was .. running wild ...
on a dirt covered path .. in the middle of nowhere,
bare feet .. bruised knees
tears flowing down her chin ..
leaving marks on her dirt covered cheeks ...
wind converting her long black curls in a knotted mess,
her ragged breathing shattering the night's silence...
her heart going wild in her chest
pumping blood to her aching legs ...
moonlight failing badly at healing her bleeding heals,
her voice was now merely a whisper
because of all the screaming and pleading
she had done ...
her eyes fixed on the light laced shadow ..
moving away from her ...
step by step ...
inch by inch ...
she stopped ... mid way ... tired ...
watching the shadow with half lidded eyes ....
please don't ... her lips trembled.
don't leave me ... she pleaded ignoring all the pain stemming from her wounds and
the agony her heart was pumping in her system,
her hand reaching out to shadow ...
standing on the verge of breaking, silence heard the words ... "for the sake of love" ...
and it was then ...
the girl witnessed the shadow's smile ...
and night heard the last beat of a golden heart.

standing by the ashes
of his burnt wings ...
he got his answers,
why icarus was told
never to fly too low
or too high ...
but love never understands ...
or does it ?? .

i dont know how
i dont know why
there are these feelings
i cant deny

my day is made better
with just your hi;
as smile touch my lips
and shines in my eye

my heart skips a beat
and i feel shy
when you say my name
i feel i can fly ...

i love you so much
dont ask me why
cant live without you
so never say me goodbye !!

before i met you...
i used to write
about people...
things
happenings ...
with so much precision
that people could see
what i want them to see
feel .. what i want them to feel
then u came along
i tried to write about u
but failed
coz it felt like no word in
dictionary
could do justice to what
i feel for you...
or describe how i see you
or tell what you mean to me
I LOVE YOU !!
is all what words have to offer
and i know they are not enough
but only a bit of what i feel for u...

love is a strange emotion,
it blesses the soul with wings..
giving it the right to fly free in the vastness of mid-night sky
while it keeps the heart prisoner ...
it touchs the soul like
September breeze caresses
the dew touched flowers
while setting heart ablaze !!

he was the only one
to return successful
from the voyage
set to discover the lost soul
of the mystery girl.
about his adventure,
he would write a story every night.
the story that had a part of her soul.
every morning,
she'd read his story
to collect the part of her soul
and place it at the right place.
unknowingly,
he was completing her,
solving her mystery,
ending her charm,
opening the ways
that lead to her door,
making her just another
ordinary girl.
The only thing she had feared
the most !!

write me a poem
and play flute for me
we'll drink the night sky
and walk by the sea !!

when its the monsoon season,
and it rains every other day
your memories dribble down
like rain drops on a window pane
as there is no way out
they pool in the recesses of heart
like rain water pools when there is no drain,
it is then, when all i want is to be a kid again
to jump in that pool
and let the memories splash and splatter
creating a beautiful moment
worthy of living !!

there she was,
standing on the other side of river
holding her vessel,
listening to him
accusing
about how she never trusted him
and never put her faith in him
how she should close the last door
and shut the only window
that her soul used
to breath in the fresh air,
and to abandon the stray paths
that could lead her to him.
she watched him walk away
her vision turning blurry "one last glance" she silently prayed
but blue sky was determined to turn down
all her prayers that day.
her heart twisted in pain
pumping agony in every vein.
in a spur of the moment
a decision was made
a decision to show him
how much faith she had on him
to show she trusted him with her life.
....
the evening sun watched silently ..
a dark figure moving away from the river
and
a red scarf going with the flow !!

heart yearns for peace
a drop of which
would fill the soul
up to the brink
the kind that is not found
under purple skies
but
in the smile of a new born !!

as the night thickened,
there she was
standing in her balcony
facing city lights
listening to the screams of
dying words
as she was unable to pen them down
all because of him !!
she watched her demons dance merrily
as they fed on her fear of
feeling the emotions,
she had promised never to feel.
emotions that he had stirred
back to life.
emotions that could break the walls she had built,
emotions that could make her open the doors she had locked long ago !!

"You've invaded silence of my thoughts"
She sighed.
"Is that bad?" He asked, confused.
"Only to the extent
that i can't be alone anymore." She answered.

"I am sorry."
She whispered, pain swirling in her brown eyes.
She wrapped her arms a little more around herself as she spoke.
"Let me go" silent plea written in her glass covered eyes.
He could see guilt eating her up, for being the reason of his pain, his emptiness...
warm black eyes starred deep into brown ones,
letting the decisive moment take over.
In the split second he realized he needed to let her go...
taking a deep breath,
he tried to feel the excruciating pain
that would stem from his bleeding heart but to his surprise he felt nothing.
She watched his warm eyes turning into icy ones,
thick walls starting to rise around his bleeding heart.
She felt her heart twist in her chest
In that moment she realized he would let her go.
But she will always be entrapped in those deep eyes which are now covered with thick ice.

"I am lost." She said,
"You can't be, you were like the guiding star." He argued.
"I was, but then you came along
Your questions, like a moon, raised tides in the calm seas of my soul,
but your presence
calmed those thrashing waves,
and in the stillness of the moment,
i got lost at the shore of your heart !!" She sighed.

Every heart desires peace,
some seek it in sacred places
and some in solitude
for some it lies in dark nights
for some in morning sun
some look for it in scribbled words
and some in melodious rhythms
some search for it in water depths
and some in empty skies
Some find it by helping others
while some in risking lives
some find it in the blink of eye
and some keep yearning till the day they die !!

After a long journey
He was finally there,
now surrounded by
locked doors
destined to remain closed,
high walls
never giving a way in,
blue sea
created to be never crossed,
he gave up one day,
never realizing that it was all
a figment of imagination
as he was trapped
in the illusion of reality !!

"Because my heart says so"
was enough reason for him
but not for her,
because in her life
she had witnessed,
change of hearts
and had seen
souls turning into ashes
and
dead people walking
wearing hollow smiles !!

Take my hand
And fade away with me
Into the realms of dreams
Where we will find life
And will learn how to live
Happily ever after
With no questions asked
But first
You have to answer one question
"Will you?"
