Nobody likes to feel
the pain of losing
someone nor the agony
of remembering how everything
used to be

Nobody likes to hear the sound
of your heart
breaking
nor the soundless scream you make
as you cry
in the night

Nobody likes the smell
of the bridge
burning
nor the smoke
from the house, that’s slowly
turning down
to ashes

Nobody likes the taste
of the blood
coming from your mouth
nor the defeat from something
you desperately fought
so hard

Nobody likes to see
your flaws and imperfections
no matter how they promise
they’ll love you the same
so, you carefully tuck them
under the beds
together with the demons you hide
to save the people you love
from horror.
i am in the middle
of a storm, a war
broke out
between my flesh and soul

Huge waves
break, pull me in
drown me in my failings
and fears

water fills
my lungs
eyes
sore
from the ocean
or from the tear-
flooded days
and nights

i don’t know which
is which or where
it hurts or why
i am feeling
this way
or how could i survive
this squall

all i can see
is darkness in the bottom
of the ocean where your memories
lie, together with all the broken
promises and hearts

The Garden Buddha
sits
between
the
Rosemary, Dahlia and Boronia
fragrances in the breeze

Welcoming Accepting
the sun, the rain,
the star lite night sky
fierce frozen mornings
the snow when it comes,
the spiders, the slugs, the mosquitoes, the flies

Garden Buddha
quarter smile
whether or not
I sit beside him,
Unattached to all he sees
a study in the 7 Dharmas.

The Garden Buddha
being is all he knows.

While I worry
about this and that
fearful thoughts in the days and nights
all attached
to
love and loss,
fears and triumphs
births and debts,
what people think
will poems trend
whether there is food on the table
whether work will extend
whether or not I am part of the latest fashion trend.

The Garden Buddha
doesn't care or not care
about any of those things
his eyes
never waver
they always look inside out
outside in.

The Garden Buddha
stone of course
his smile
never goes away.

In the end, though,
nature will always have the last say
I can accept it
or not
Be filled with longing
suffering or accepting

life on life's terms

The Garden Buddha
will be here
long after
my last
dying day.
Not a practicing Buddhist, but have always had a fascination with attachment, longing and acceptance.

I miss the holy ghost of her smile.
The silhouette of her head in the night
on my pillow. Her beauty alight.

She was rain on my fever. Rain
through my window. An innuendo
of heavenly morning light. Heart heavy
as the moon on its way to Montana
  wearing my blue bandana.

Rigel

Art thou
Thy soul
Of souls
Reaching
O to thee?

Or that
Celestial
Tide thus
Brimming
So, most
Delightful
Beams o'er
Me?

~

Sirius

O, Yes!
My Bride-to-be,
Spinning fiercely
Like a dervish in
This galaxy!

~

Rigel

My flames! My core!
Held together by my
Own attractiveness, I
Assure, I need not thee
Tis myself I do adore!
Fantastic mysteries
I keep thus pure!

Woo me to Love?
You seem assured
Of your Self as well!
But you must make
Haste to hence take
This, my body, O!
Heretofore to meld.

~

Sirius

My lust forsaken
Broken, taken!

See how hot
These fires
Thus burn,
All my Love
To you I turn!

~

Rigel

Be gone!
Be gone!
My Love
Must be earned.

~

Sirius

O what woe!
Woebegone
And melancholy!
Ease my malady,
Be my Lady!

~

Rigel

Perhaps one day
I shall, but as of
Now, I turn
Thee away.

~

Sirius

I shall do
My utmost
To burn
So close
Today
Tomorrow
So perhaps
Someday
It will be so.

~

Rigel silently

*Sigh, you
Persistent thing;
I wish to cradle
You, soon too.
This is a satire dialogue of love unrequited between two fiercely burning, vainglorious and  divine celestial stars Rigel and Sirius desperately falling in love, not admitting it.

She opens a window
and hopes for the sky
to fall in from outside
and it's tailwind bring

her the moon and the clouds
lined with silver, a crowd
of the finest of stars
and a spare pair of wings..
