I always thought we were the perfect match.
But matches are meant
                                   to ignite
                                         and burn out.
Dear HP,

This is not a poem
But a question
The answer to which
I do hope you have

Why does my lover claim to love me
But still looks for every opportunity
To let me go?

Is it that she loves me so much
But doesn't think she's worthy of me

Or she doesn't love me enough
To think I'm worthy of her?

I don't want to forget you, but I think it's time that I must
I don't want to regret you, but what we built has rusted and fallen to dust, leaving me with no foundation to stand upon, because you were the support that I always relied on
And when you began to fall apart and break, I tried my hardest not to share your fate, but I stumbled down and wound up doing the same
Now I'm trying to find my feet and am trying to rise again, and I think I have to do it without you there to call my friend
I was born a sailor made to fight Poseidon's worst but it's the land that calls to me while to the seas I'm cursed.

I feel my heart's desire for the warmth of a home lit fire, to step upon the sand and retrace a loved ones hand.

Instead I feel the sway and rock and hear my deaths clock tock for to it I am bound and the only land I'll ever feel is when I'm sunk and drowned.
Sail me away- just catching up with all the work I've written and not been able to post I hope you guys like it :D

My mother is a piano
A little out of tune
Dusty keys
That play with ease
Ivory as the moon

Sometimes I’ll touch the wood
And admire its antiquity
Think of all the things that it
Ever dreamed to be

Sometimes when my fingers
Fly through a song
I wonder how this piano
Ever got so strong.

My mother is a piano,
She makes music out of air,
She answers each finger
With an embrace, with care

Her legs planted firmly
in the ground
How much I love to hear
her deep, rich sound.
Fool me once
shame on you
fool me twice
shame on me
fool me thrice
it's ok
fool me
four times
**** it
I want to rhyme
Fool me five or six
even seven times
so be it
I always want
to be a fool for you

Your lips are like a invitation to a party I'm not invited to
I could watch for hours
Pronounciating
Watching the way they move
And don't for one second think it's a que that I'm in love with you
It's just I've never found or studied such an enthralling Muse
Maybe one day you will see this
And probably know it's for you
Of all the loves I've ever known
You were my most true
