You make me forget about the terrors in life
the death,
disease,
corruption,
the inevitable ending of our world as we know it.

When I am with you
I have no problem,
no worry.
It's just you,
only you.

I don't need anyone to tell me
I'm beautiful,
because your eyes whisper
those words so blissfully
and make life
brighter, worth living
even if we may never stay together forever.
I am loving what this is
                                          Now.
I am loving what the world looks like
with
       You
in it.

"I promise if you stay I will mature.
I will learn to stay faithful and all the good things.
We're going to have a family.
We're going to grow old together
and own a house
and pay the bills
and be happy.
With a boy
and a girl
we
will
be
happy.
I promise you're the one.
I promise I will love you.
Just stick with me. . ."

*God, I hope so. . .

Tracing constellations and chasing shooting stars she began to grow lost in the field of night air.
Sleep never came easily and comfort was found in the indigo sky
speckled with the distant stars twinkling ever so slightly.
She wondered how long those stars have lived;or how long they've been dead to be shining so bright.
How far away are they?
How close?
She closed her tired eyes, though still she never slept.
Instead she imagined chasing the shooting stars and catching one in her hand
Finally holding exactly what she's sought to find:
sleep.
describing the night sky as an insomniac
