I want it to be summer,
And I want to be in love,

But I can't just skip to that part,
And it's starting to depress me.

My love, I desire to tell you,
That if ever any doubted dreams come true,
They need just glance in our direction and see,
Dreams unfold into reality.

Dead wrong

her
the door was barely opened before
I caught her like a 2am yawn (once seen unstoppable)
she caught my smile but expressed it better than I ever could
and like I would for the queen I quickly stood
she must have seen my eyes through the hazy night
and she moved closer like poetry I cannot write

ok I can't help myself
she walked like an 'um' itself
an um for the wordless times
when something more important is on your mind
when you're asked for the truth but are filled with lies
when in pause, time it buys

gliding like a miyazaki dragon spiriting me away
anywhere but here, the now, the day
struck dumb
the response to her hello?
- 'um'

Is it wrong of me to linger on your words?
I can feel myself sinking into the pregnant pause,
just before the light trickles through the curtains,
illuminating the empty space your words held.

I long for your voice, like the lily longs for the rain,
spring showers awaken and unfurls new leaves.
The rain turns a key inside me opening me up again,
letting all the water flow out, just in time for the drought.

The days are getting shorter, as the time since rain elongates,
leaves scorched curl around me, shielding what life is left.

Spring will bring your final bloom,
as the last remnants of your words,
give color to the tips of my petals.
I wish these feelings would fade

Articulate, immaculate;
I see the contours of her eyelids flick.
I know her, soft and delicate.
Defends her ground with solid stick.

Ridiculous, but accurate;
Confident release of comedic grit.
Expressions lively, capture it,
Before next thought comes in to sit.

Intuitive, abstract addict;
Engaging, fantastic conversation.
Awaiting beautiful emphatic,
For mesmerizing contemplation.

Artistic is just half of it.
She contains ceaseless happy mystery.
I'm always taken aback by it,
How she shifts like stars and sways like tree.

An activist peace advocate.
Sharing dreams with me of a world to be.
Her poetry impacted it.
A passive beauty all could see.

Her peacefulness is accurate.
Pure as pink lotus, for roses do *****.
Pain in this world, doesn't add to it.
Beautiful through gloom, she, my pick.
