This day has been too long
I'm ready for night's song
a reverie of pleasant sleep
and dreams to keep
and dreams to keep.

This day has been too long
correct me if I'm wrong
but twilight is a gift
a prelude to a rift
a prelude to a rift.

The dark is creeping fast
what light there is won't last
sandman spreads his seed
the comfort that we need
the comfort that we need.

Outside the stars are glowing
a cool light breeze is blowing
and my bed is like a nest
to curl  into...to rest
to curl  into...to rest.

This day has been too long
the heat has been too strong
and the coolness of the night
gives me solace till the light
gives me solace till the light.

The people that make You believe
The sky is in your reach
Are the people you ought to keep.
people in your life that give you hope and believe in you are the people you must treasure because they themselves are the believers

Strolling in the woodlands,
I see ahead of me a large stretch of ****** timber where blackberry thickets foam white in spring time.

In the valley littered with gold,
winter reaches for me.
It cuddles me with frost and restrains me with cold.

Words from inking pen strikes me,
Its stinging sentences reviles me.
Rising from deep waters I learn to be bold.
I face my predators unlike days of old.

Wondering in dream's land,
my eyes quake at mountains taller than everest.
Lost in dream's arms,
I rise above the tempestuous plunge of sea tides.

Beautiful melodies
sounding like lullabies
sung by garnished beaks
hurrying across the sky

Wonder sprouts
as melodies fall.
roses smile
at incredible sights.

Quavering lips of mine
Spill words in time
'I love you please be mine'

Kneeling on one knee
blooming rose stretched by my hands.
Looking at my reflection
in the mirror of your eyes.

Mouth speaks,
making ripples
On eternities stream.

Would you sing for me
when my piano skills you no more feel?
Would you hold my hands
when I've lost my fans?
Would you be mine
till I can no more write?
Dedicated to.................................................
whom it concerns.

Paul Butters
Have you ever woken up, got washed and dressed
Started you morning routine then…
Something’s not right!
Wrong place or feature
Or whatever.
You are still dreaming!
You shake yourself
And at last
You truly are awake!??

They say that Life as such
Is also but a dream.
So imagine, when you die
You find yourself on another bed
And remember the “Earth” in which you fell asleep.
A lifetime’s experience
All packed into a few hours of dreams
In a room that resides
At a higher level.
A higher level that too
Might be a dream within a dream.
An infinity of levels of dreams,
Life upon life.
Imagine that.
Boggle that mind of yours
With infinite dreams
For eternity.
