City lights above
Piercing through the darkest night
I don't want to sleep

You allowed me to walk
Into your resolute gaze,
Woman,
I had witnessed
The opening of my prison

I'm reminded of when
The Earth was still young
Just rolling in the wind,
Like the way this short poem
Spells out the day we began

you ran so fast to chase
after him;
so fast that
you left
yourself.

Love didn't end wars
It started them

What is beauty,
    if not bereavement
                    of exhalation.

Our symbiosis is just
elongated moments
   of perpetual pain,

and unending noise.

And when were void less,
         there is elegance
where our conclusion is

             peaceful silence.

I saw you for the first time, no words.
Only locked eyes.
For a moment I felt our souls dancing together,
they had known each other for eternity,
But we had just met.
