O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchored safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
A flawless red curve of
Seductive lips
Your bold tongue
On the cusp of mine
I savor your words
Reckless declarations
Breathed down my throat
Slashing my soul
A wound that won’t heal
Exposed to the memory of
*******
Memories that make it my ruin
The way you wrenched my heart
Racked my mind
Molested my soul
The desolation you left me with
When you were done

I look for Pink
To comfort and inspire
My emotional essence
You will see if you
Look into my eyes.
When I see  a bird take its first flight,
When I hear a baby's first cry,
When I notice the butterflies,
I smile for me.

When I read those old letters,
When I see their precious gifts,
When I feel shaken by the loss,
I smile for me.

When I remember their  breath ,
When I miss their caressing hands,
When I think of their smile,
I smile for me.

When I look at me in the mirror,
When I do my hair and eyes,
When I notice my lips,
I smile for me.

When I feel two hearts beating,
When I see two souls meeting,
When I see those eyes shining,
I smile for me.

When I feel honest,
When I help someone,
When I achieve my goals,
I smile for me.

When I see so many colors,
When I hear so many sounds,
When I smell your divine,
I smile for me.

Read to me
while I lie here with eyes closed against the sky.
  Read to me with passion
of the smell of lemon
and musk wrapped in silk and satin.

I rest here in your voice and drink
your very words.
Read to me with lilt of breath.
Breathe me to the brink
  of lasting
as I sink into your sighs.

Read to me gently,
  read softly into the night.

Seeing the way things have changed
Makes me feel a bit strange
Are we coming or going
Or are we just playing the game
I picture the day in my mind
When you say you love me
Leaving all worries behind
The day you put a ring on my finger
And ask me to be yours forever
On the outside I’m quite optimistic
But deep down I’m frightened to death
I find that I don’t know how to behave
Not wanting to push you away
When all I want to do is take you into my arms
And protect you from all harm
Yet there is little that I can do
But sit and wait patiently for you
And though these words may never reach you
I rip out my heart and wear it on my sleeve
For only you to see.

My thoughts invisible
My words invisible until I put ink to paper
And even then they're still invisible
They're invisible to the people who can't read the meaning between the lines and the space between the words and letters
Sometimes they're invisible to me
Until after I read it myself
I can feel what other people mean when they write a poem or a story
I can imagine the imaginary happenings of a poem or story
I can hear the silent screams and see the useless scratches and crawls
I can see the darkness or the brightness of everything imagined
Everything invisible
The words you really want to say invisible
The actions you really want to take invisible
Everything invisible
Everything you don't do invisible to everyone except you
Everything I won't write burned into my mind until it hits pen to paper
Until it visible to everyone
You will never forget the visible nothings you did
You will never forget the invisible somethings you should have done
Just something I thought of. I'm not sure where all of it came from
She wins...
She always does

After a long busy stay
From missing her all day
I go home to her
And she's there, she's always there,
Patient, soothing and tender
Luring me to bed...
As I fight her charms,
Trying to stay up; workaholic impulse raging!

I win...
For a moment or so

Daring to focus
For a couple more hours
Desperate not to give in
At least not without a fight.
She peeks out from our bedroom
Sneaking up from behind,
As I snooze momentarily
But I can't win this fight, there's no use trying!

Accepting defeat, I embrace her
Letting her caress me

She entraps me all night
I'm lost, against my will
I know I'll wake up guilty,
Wishing I could send her away
But I'm stuck with her for life
And she takes so much of my time
Time I could use for work
But no, she won't let go; not when I always yield!

And no, she's not my wife
She's not even my girlfriend
Not some girl from across the street
Just a nobody, named Sleep!
