I was cold and unforgiving when you threw yourself at me,
You gave me everything you had and I said it couldn't be.
I took everything you gave me and laughed straight in your face,
You couldn't be the chosen one, someone has to take second place.
When everything was gone you solemnly sulked away,
but- you'll be back again tomorrow because we do this everyday.
Your break will come around and you'll just want a twix,
but I'll only take your money-for I'm a vending machine and I know all the tricks.

Everything can be going great. You're out on the town with freinds and you're following their car in front of you to the next destination. Suddenly, you're staring at the their fading taillights dissapear, you're in the center of a busy intersection and your car won't go into gear. Now the light has turned and everybody is waiting on you to go but all you can do is listen to the clutch grinding. Constantly worried, helpless, lost, and mostly dissapointed in yourself. Your mind races in empty circles looking for a grip to reality but you just sit and do nothing because all you can focus on is the spinning. That is what my adhd is to me.

A crying girl can **** ya
She'll rip your insides out, and keep them by her bed
A shelf of scars and lovestruck songs, torn to bits and shreds.
The days tick by and you watch your life as she packs and walks away.
The only words upon your lips are maybe just someday--
the world might open up its arms and greet you with a smile,
give your head a tender kiss and walk you through your miles.
Some worlds are not so kindly tho,
they'll beat you down to bits
they'll ask more of you than you could ever be, and push you down until you fit.
The puzzle shifts and flips around until you've lost your ground,
there's nothing you can really do but try your hardest not to drown.
The tears she cries fall like lead upon her trembling face,
the crying girl will bring you down, because you've already lost the race.

So late at night I wonder
of things that just wont be
sometimes I start to realize some people just don't see
the beauty all around us swallowing us all up
they refuse to see the beauty --and
blind themselves with darkness
so solemn people wait--for joy to come to view
but to to see with eyes shut tight is rather hard to do
the art that life does bring us can never be quite named
beauty gets terribly close but still is not the same
although we can't describe it
surely we can see, the beauty that is so very dear
and and quite unique to me

If the world fades into darkness who will hold my lonesome hand
Who will sweep me off my feet to swing and dance across the land
If the clouds fall down and the rain comes knocking upon my weathered door
Who will tell me I'm okay--and if tomorow doesn't come, then whats forever for?
I'll hold my breath and cross my fingers tight across my chest
The world can take away from me whatever it can steal, but stolen was my heart already--therefore I cannot feel
The darkness that surrounds me, I know it very well
and if I hide away from the light I'll never know the sight
A baby crying down the hall, or lovers in a blissfull state
I cannot feel the life I missed and no matter how I try
the light's always just a step away from my line of veiw
I'll never see that light again unless I hold again what's true
A love so strong and passionate, the years just travel by
but lovers know just how they feel--even if they chose to lie

All that's bright in the moonlit sky,
all things new and all things old
the golden sun and the silverlined stars
nothing could shine as beautiful as you are.

Just to reach out would be to bold
the stretch is to far and I could never hold-
such a girl so sweet, like the honey suckle dew
such a long way to go before i'll ever get to you.

The staircase to heaven has a missing flight
and upon that perch is were you lie
you float so danty in the air so pure
meant for the heavens but you're still down here

The people live below and you do what you can,
but that airs not yours and you just can't breathe
no one will ever be good enough and you just can't see it.
