"Don't let madness corrupt you." A wise man once said, but it is impossible not to be corrupted when you're as dark as insanity itself.

I play with fire
I drown in rain
I scream please help me
Someone take this pain
"People I care about need to stop dying," says the suicidal one.

I haven't eaten in two days,
Barely sleep at night
And now I'm crying
Crying and I want to *****

~ ~ ~

I love you without end
No point of cease
You're everything
That I will ever need
I'm already upset about my grandfather, mother, and my Bird.
Now I'm fighting the anxiety induced urge to retch.

Cheers
To the giggles
The midnight texts
The long hugs
The corny love songs
The fake rose in the bouquet
The inside jokes
The piƱa coladas
The bubbly sodas
The slow walks
The Monsters
The lucky charms
The twixes
The Cheerios
The piled up Mountain Dews
The squeaks and hiccups
The "Hiccup"s
The shared secrets
The references in this poem
The ones no one else will get

Cheers to our friendship.
I know, it's more of a list than a poem. But still.

I am a logophile. A lover of words.
I love words. Language. The way sentences can be constructed and broken down. How you can persuade, intimidate, bribe, barter, bully, influence, tempt, and so on. I love poetry. Slang. Lyrics. Quotes. Phrases. I love the pronunciation of words. The way we can read between the lines. How we can distinguish "Okay" from "ok." from "Kay:)" from "k.". How some words can send shivers down your spine, be it from how they're worded to how they're spoken to who spoke them to what meaning it holds. I love the quiver of the lip when someone says something that hurts. The stammer, the raw emotion, the shake in their voice, the tears that swell up in their eyes.

And I love words even more
when they come from your mouth.
