A Embers
Awe-Struck
 Nov 2017 Leena
A Embers
Depicting a beauty ethereal
I’ve become your sun
In the morning
And the moon
Of your night
I’ve caught you
Spellbound
And hypnotized
By every lie
Knotted in every line.
You reach for me
Clinging to the caress
Of the cadence
I have penned
The unspoken depths
Reeling blissfully
Among this fabricated fancy
Finally, I’ve caught you
Yet not before long
I too am enthralled
Longing for your trusting gaze.

A Embers
Infinite infinities
Folding unto themselves
Into a single entity
Coupling timeless existence
Then explodes into
Countless moments
Herald across the
Universe
A supernova happenstance
Wished on by the romantics
And the hopefuls
And ablaze with
The declaration of love.

never to be

sammy
No longer a sapling,
But a budding fruit tree
You try to blossom,
But it never works out-
Whether it be forces of nature or
Your own hesitation

This time, it’s different.
Joy is meant to be released,
In the little seeds
That have begun to sprout

Your curve is fading,
Gradually rejoining the rest of your trunk
You have borne your fruit,
Yet a bite of this apple leaves me
With a sickening feeling that
It was never ripe
written in 2016

Mysidian Bard
If not to touch the earth
and know your sun kissed skin,
if not to chase your shadow
through every place you've been.

If not to stand on mountains,
howling from the peaks,
if not to lie in fields
as melodic whispers weep.

If not to dance in forests
where tangled roots take hold,
if not to bathe in oceans
while eternities unfold.

If not to touch the earth,
upon me you would shine
and for that fleeting moment
I could call you mine.
Dedicated to a very special friend of mine who comes on here often hoping that I have posted something, no matter how long I have been absent. I hope that this will brighten your day.
