"Promise" has 7 letters.

So does:
"Moved on"

But, I have a 7 letter promise to you:
"I'll wait"
Seven is my lucky number. I hope this promise will be lucky enough to be true.

flowers
I want them
blooming and blossoming
everywhere around me
living life
to the fullest
bringing color
to the darkest corners
of my mind
and it's hard for flowers
to grow
without a little
rain

Like a Bird

I wish I could fly like a bird, confident and fast
Go by like lighting, everyone else last.
I wish I could look like a bird
Beautiful and strong and have the nice look that I have wanted for so long.
I wish I was a bird, able to be free
But these chains I have put on have made it not to be.

Spirit and matter
The light and the dark
left and right brained
the Ying and the Yang
an outspoken mute
a chaotic plan
mortal and eternal
a pacifist Warrior
ambidextrous hands
A foot on the ground
A head in the clouds
Silence and sound
A teacher a pupil
Reserved with no Scruples
A genius a fool
slave and the master
man I am God
feline and dog
reason and Insanity
A well planned Calamity
I am BALANCE

Art
Art is my salvation
a gift to cure my soul
Catharsis from creation
Pens and brushes
make me whole
Laughter lends its colors
to a dark and dreary Life
Light invades my spirit
and eases what was strife
2016 epiphany  about my creative side

I think in poems,
drink deep sounds,
smell bright colors,
untie the bound.

I touch the notes...
they ripple in the air.
Taste the pain .....
no qualms no care.

I orchestrate a silent fugue,
two voices never heard.
Pen it all inside my book
then read it to my bird.

A poet wants to be read but I don't care if I commit literary suicide for expressing my views that's my right

You may not agree but I'm sorry that's me and I'll keep writing til the day I die.

I may not be as eloquent or refined as many writers I know...I let my pencil flow wherever it goes.

Sometimes it's street smack sometimes high brow... I'll write about shadows and sunsets,  demons and cows.

Enigmatic persona pours onto the page.  With no style or language or structured restraint.

My works runs the gamut I get bored with the same.  I write what I feel in the moment it came.

If you dig it that's cool if you don't, no complaints

I Don't Mind

"I wish the rain would pass us by,"
They say as droplets fall from high
I nod my head as if to say
I think so too, but as it may
I love the rain, the life it gives
The way it makes me want to live
Inside my head, so deep inside
I murmer out an "I don't mind,"

"This freezing cold is hard to bear,"
They say with hats upon their hair
I smile back, pretend to be
What they seem to expect of me
But where the cold is colder still
Inside my mind, the freezing chill
I whisper back my icy side
"But I don't mind, no, I don't mind,"

"I can't stand when I'm all alone,"
They cry out with a striking moan
I laugh inside but nod my head
(Their trifling ways are better fed)
This time I whisper oh so slight
An, "I don't mind, no I don't mind,"

These people, they don't understand
That life does not go as it's planned
And we can choose our path we take
And sometimes ones that we don't make
So take your path, and you will find
That you don't mind, no, you don't mind
