At the time I knew, but I didn't stay away. I learned, but kept making the same mistake. And I sought, but kept going. All these things I know now and it was just for fun, but the fun ride is all gone now. So when I stepped into reality, it was you that I was missing the most, so I gave in and I had a little more.

With this make-up I cover my ugliness I was told as seen, and give you the mistakenly advertised show for free. I wear knee high confidence at a price, but that's still not all of me. When I get home I know my show is over, but I still wear my make-up, to know that I can't get over the real person my parents want me to be.

In the moment of the whisper brushed shoulders, we looked and kept moving passed. We seized the "What Ifs" as if the future was now. The paint marks on your face was no suprise, but when I imagined the fields of us counting stars I ran with the sun. There was no looking back on galaxies, as out sweaty palms were corrupt with sin.
