How could i tell you?
That the pink that stained your cheek was no longer my favourite colour,
that your laugh sounded out of tune,
that your skin lacked the heat i craved,

that my love dwindled and then fell away all at once.

i'm sorry and i'm not.

i love you, but i don't.

Your eyes glued to the screen
Your ears always occupied
And your fingers forever fidgeting.

Hours spent in search
Hours on repeat

But still
I wait
Holding on to fake faith

With a blink of an eye, realization hit
And I watched as my universe began to bloom

It started with a soft smooch
but I lost control of my hands and they began running circles around your body.
I could tell you didn't mind as our tounges tie and our toes entwine: Griping, pushing, pulling our bodies begin to bind.
and our souls collide.

but even more so
in holding on.
