I was a  waxing moon reflection lost at sea

who fears only yesterday
waits so patiently for my wings to grow
as cornfields sway
in a harvest moon's glow

from a ghastly place
forgetfulness of who I am

a child who forgot life
as he knew it best
you saved me from the abyss
