In her gauzy garments
Above the bowing trees
The moon has many lovers
In the sighing breeze.

They all take her dancing
In exotic lands
They give her sparkling diamonds
They kiss her milk-white hands.

She is round & fullsome
Or slender as a waif
When she is then waning
Her flowers are kept safe.

Silken skeins of darkness
When she's waxing full
Are parted by her brightness
She is NEVER dull!

Her beaux are all so courtly
But she eschews them all
Her only love can make her pale
She burns at his call...

She lets out her moonbeams
Through her eyes they weep
She loves the one eclipsing her
They can NEVER meet!

She, so strong within her court
Will curtsey when he comes
The moon has many lovers

But she's taken by the SUN.

charles
the many moons,
you failed to see with me,
the suns, their rises,
compromise a single second with you.
the drunken nights,
we spent so bright,
blending in undying time.
your hair and wind,
ending in a rhythmic sin,
that never meant to end.

but it did.
where shall I send my poems?**

to my eyelashes,
for they beat irregularly
unconcealed and unconscious
like my poems

to my fingertips,
where they are released fluidly
they grasp, strained and staining, tapping breaths
like my poems

to my smile,
fleeting and happy weeping fortuitously
a lifetime of a whisper, glimpsed and gone
like my poems

to my brain,
where they are symmetrically born only to die ceremonially
a fireworks duration evaporating into a rich velvet
like my poems

like my poems,
none will survive me,
blemishes, pockmarks, beauty marks, residues,
in a flash bang born, in a flash bang consumed

GIVE ATTENTION TO RAPTURE
BECOME SURE AND BLISSFUL
JOY CAN REAR IT'S HEAD
EAT A JUICY STAR FRUIT.

IT'S JUICE IS SWEETER
THAN AN APPLE OR PEAR
LEAP FOR JUBILATION
REAP IT'S NECTAR

LIFE IF FULL OF EASE
WHEN GAZING ON LEISURE
LEAVE IT'S OPPOSITE SPECTRUM
RELEASE WORN, OLD PATTERNS

BRING, RING IN THE NEW
