not everyone understands my words
riddles their tongues can't quite untwist
but then there are the few
who stand until the hot water runs cold
dissecting more of my truth

words have never loved me like they do others...
they seem to play me and toy me around
it's not until the right amount of ***
runs through the rhythm of my blood
that my words let themselves
be written down

some tell me i speak my own language
letting sounds somersault off my tongue
my "mouth is a maze"
my "mind's in distress"
so tell me...
how can free speech ever be won?

You say there's a method to your madness
as you

brush my bristled edges
so that i may be radiant as a rose
my imperfections unimportant
as long as you

Magnify my Magic
Hide my Hideous
Bury my Burdens
Mistake my Madness
Omit my Ugly

Thus Creating

Whimsy out of Wonder
Hope out of Hatred
Love out of Ludicrously

DESTROY ME
in order to
DISCOVER ME

but how can i be a proper muse
when reality doesn't recognize
your daydream design of me?

this portrait you've painted has me walking on a mountains edge
terrified that one day you will awaken to find
the petals you've planted perished
pauperish not princess-esque

with smitten feet
i dance about our secret garden
laced with smirky edges
&
midnight callings

i burn and blush when our eyes meet
yet our sights align
as do our stars
...
it's an everlasting ending
that i dream

if a mermaid falls in love with you
you will live forever
for our souls are sweet
but our hearts sworn with steel

so lick my lips
and let my scarlet sizzled touch
fuel your poisoned passion

fall forward
and find
where my disposition
meets your intuition

drown your doubts
&
steal my secrets
until you are merely
sand beneath my dancing feet

gold on gold
it drips
between poignant piercings
seeping onto
sarcastic sidelines
&
coin tossed talking

sleepwalk through surreal slumber
as picture perfect people
close your peripheral
wondering about a life
that could have been
if only
you had awakened
to their
whispered wonderings

paint me
&
persuade me

touch me
&
degrade me

crown my smitten soul
&
mark me muse worthy

so i may be ridden
of your ruthless romance
&
cast queen upon your
rose quartz heart

— The End —
