I've lived a life of pain,
one hidden by the rain.
And each time I failed,
my efforts became vain.

I've lived a life so sad,
things always seemed bad.
For nothing held for long,
and they always went wrong.

I've lived a life of mystery,
one I hoped would be history.
And with every mile of victory,
I inched away from misery.
Life sometimes seems unbearable. Still, we mustn't give up. Fight and strive for better days. Set new milestones after each victory and edge towards the light at the end of the tunnel.

All the glory I sought,
and all the pain I brought.
I wrought havoc to all those who incurred my wrath.

A demigod in my way,
and destruction grew in my stay.
I vanquished all those who opposed me in my wake.

But what brought about this madness and created endless sadness?
It was envy and greed,
the curse of the weak.

The betrayal of my friend,
was the birth of a foe.
But to what end?
Treachery and lies,
they brought him joy and great pride,
and in the end, death with great spite.

I can be a demon,
I can be a saint,
I can cause you pain,
It all depends on the day.

My eyes are open to the pleasures of this world.
I do not hide it
I will not deny it.
I embrace the darkness within and remain aware of the light around.

I seek no comfort in the opinion of others or solace in the companion of friends.

I was born alone, I will die alone.
I serve no cause but my own.
I may be different, but still I'm only human.

Every gaze at the moon reminds me of you. Your smile, so bright it dispels darkness all around. Every thought I have is centered around you and countless joyful memories emanate from you. I'm proud to be yours and glad that you're mine.
I love you so much my moonlight
I gazed at the moon and thought about you. To the woman who holds the key to my heart.

I saw a demon lurking in the shadows,
I saw it smile and with such glow in its eyes.
Decrepit it looked, a creature made from nightmares.
Intimidating it was, it became one of my greatest fears.

I saw a demon tall in stature, one I felt could bring about rapture.
It came from the dirt and with a stench that brought about death.
And as life around it withered, I couldn't help but shiver.

I saw a demon in my mirror
One with horns and claws of horror.
I heard it growl, with bloodlust in its sound.
I tried to scream but no voice could be found.
And with each closer step, death became profound.

We sought a world of pleasure,
One we could not measure.
We opened our hearts to pray,
for what would make our day.
Cause we live a life so empty,
One not worthy of envy.

For so long we waited,
in search of a sign of what would save us.
But as memories faded and our lives wasted,
we found comfort in what would erase us.

Sold to slavery, prisoners of our own greed.
We sought more pleasure, now want nothing more than to be freed.
Time has flashed us by and our tears have gone dry.
And with torturous screams,
we are left with nothing but faded dreams.
