The waters are rising
fish are finless and dying
we have toxic bodies and minds
we are killing off the only
wisdom we have left

the indigenous are endangered
the animals are game
the trees and plants have given up
kind people are kneaded out

All the things that made
us once great
How dare us sulk over
nothing
The audacity of us to bask in
glory of our false privilege
We are our own worst enemies
desperate rabid wolves
the lot of us

What's happening
is that some of us have
forgotten our propensity
for kindness
to be humane
to serve others
to love as we will
and to have mercy on them
the others

but most of all we have
made our Mother mad.
She's a pip.
there are moments of silence and chaos.
losing the only thing keeping me plugged into reality made me realize how loud everything is and everyone was.
your voice in my ears,
life seemed like a 1920 silent film,
everyone moved and talked,
slapstick comedy that only a rare amount laughed.
but now your voice seems to far away and hearing everyone live and witnessing everything all at once,
was too much.
far too much.
i miss the days where i would look outside at the rain and feel comfort.
now i can only make your face out of the pouring rain painting the pavement when i wish you were here.

you deserve to be here.

My father was
not a businessman but
a handyman, a blue
collared hope chest to
those he loved, gruff and
sturdy with stony hands and
crystal wit, sharp as the chisels
that sat in the bottom of the rough-
hemmed toolbox he fused to his gait
rarely used but sharpened, always present
a testament to the unrefined repairs
he had constructed himself through, my
father was always fixing never perfecting
he taught me how to do that how to
be imperfect yet functional, a fire
that warms not burns, a home
in winters that drag on past spring
and that I am not, but I know how to be
because he told me, he told me,
he taught me to be
good even quietly, work hard even
though it is hardly even you that
can notice what difference it makes
be strong for the weak because it is you
you are strong for that way he told me
and I know now I always must try to be
a handyman not a businessman,
a blue collared hope chest to
those I love.
The sun goes down
The moon is rising
It's getting dark
And the stars start to spark
But by our love
Our hearts begin to
Spark like the stars
The eyes begin to
Look like the moon
When we hold each other in the arms
Our hearts will be the brightest star
And we make the night to our night.
'I love you'

rolls off your tongue

like an old piece of chewing gum

something you wish you could throw away

but once more

you choke it down and swallow

That shooting star,
Loved the earth so much that it crashed right into it, burning away in passion, lethal, poisonous passion, to be with what it really wanted,
It cut through the darkness with our hopes, with our deepest wishes,
Before it vanished, like a long lost dream, or a overshadowed memory
As time ticks on, reality and illusion melt together, sharing a heart,
That too is a sign of death, as each lost its meaning by just doing this,
In order to heal my aching chest, I too must be to death in sweet love,
So I will not lose to anyone, daling, after all, once you give another a home within your heart, a part, yet small dies and fades into shadows
I know I am not alone, because I am reaching out for your love, dear
A last remote of lonesome fear, engaging the thought of losing what you hold so dear, is what makes it morbid, burning even hotter now,
But a fire burns out faster, the higher it reaches, so be very cautious,
Envy is for love the metamorphosis to turn into pure fury or hate,
A ****** devotion to be the only one your darling ever will desire,
As you fall, to death in love

Our hearts beat in perfect harmony
A beautifully orchestrated
Rhythmic melody
Of a love that never ceases
To grow
But glistens with time
Like the sparkling galaxies
So hold my hand
Sit by my side
Lets cherish this love
Our priceless gem
And sing a duet
Meant for you and me
