Eat the meek,
My favourite feast.
Feeding on the fear.
I play my silent symphony,
One youll never hear.
Warping your reality,
Ive known many of your kind.
Leach into your sanity,
And seep into your mind.
Slip and slide into the night,
The darkness is my lair.
I serve my lord and master,
His one and only heir.

Dream demon
Nothings what it seems.
Dream demon
On deaf ears fall your screams.
Dream demon
Theres sickness in my stare.
Dream demon
In the darkness, in the air.

Hear me whisper in your ear.
Thoughts are getting dark,
Mind no longer clear.
My roots will penetrate your soul.
My parasite is hungry,
And begins to take control.
Oh, you fight hard to get free.
Your just a thought inside your head,
Your body belongs to me.

Dream demon
Nothings what it seems.
Dream demon
On deaf ears fall your screams.
Dream demon
Theres sickness in my stare.
Dream demon
In the darkness, in the air.

As the lesions fester your skin,
Teeth fall out and eyes grow dim.
Mind is frail and bones grow weak.
No one heeds the help you seek.
No one no one anywhere.
No one here is left to care.

The possibilities, impossible to be seen in one life.
Will I live to see beyond our worlds pain and strife?
As the key to existential ascension begins to inflate,
My mind sinks deep into a superconductive state.

I believe in life, one which god did not create.
I believe in time and space, and the universe's fate.
Beyond our planet, billions of miles away,
Live similar beings asking the same questions each day.

Chaos and complexity is quite a beautiful thing,
The future determined by the flutter of a wing.
Floating through turbulent space in a living vessel,
In the womb of the universe we comfortably nestle.

A flash in the pan and a speck of dust,
We live for tomorrow, because we must.
But why? A question that lies forever in time.
All we can do is benefit and continue the future of mankind.

Though ive told many lies,
I've given a million smiles.
The majority has spoken,
They can see for miles and miles.
Beyond the misty mountain,
Through the seven seas.
I envision a triumphant return,
Beyond our histories.

Encapsulate the greatness,
While its still here to give.
They saved this gift just for you,
While we're still here to live.
Many sought to hear them,
Though they've fallen on deaf ears.
This song will continue to be sung.....
For years and years and years...

Like the prophet in the sky,
His words hold so much truth.
Though hes just a normal guy,
Giving wisdom from a booth.
"Common human decency, a given"
Thats what id like to say.
Though the common human idiot,
Proves me wrong each every day.

Good deeds go unnoticed,
as I try to appease your mind.
Beg and bend over backwards,
just to buy my own time.

My face aged another year.
My path no longer clear.
"No longer can I live like this",
to the reflection in the mirror.

Suddenly I feel my age.
Your smile I do not see.
but the ones beyond the lighted stage,
They laugh and cheer with glee.
I no longer need you.
I need my sanity.
I will not grow any older,
just to feed your apathy.

Life is but a flash.
less than a speck of dust.
Let the music be my master,
heed the master's call, I must.
