Love, Yours Truly
Myka Jul 2019
The tears I’ve shed.
The blood I’ve bled.
The people I’ve met.
The pain I can’t forget
The flowers I’ve made.
The life I must trade.
For this love of you,
This love only true.
It’ll cause my death.
I’ll take my last breath.
Why can’t you see me?
I’m drowning in this sea.
So much angst have I,
I wish soon to die.
The sky now awaits,
Open heaven’s gates,
For this love takes my life.

Night Time
Myka Jul 2019
Rough night
Tough night
Wish upon a star night
Dreams don’t get too far night
Sad night
Bad night
Moonlight through the curtain night
Northing is ever certain night
Deep night
Weep night
Trying not to cry night
I just want to die night
Stress night
Mess night
Run away from here night
Can’t face my biggest fear night
Lightless night
Flightless night
Drown myself to death night
Take my last earthly breath night

You
Myka Jul 2019
You
Drowned in the night sky,
Dipped in starlight;
I wished upon your star
And you gave me a universe.

Merciless
Myka Jul 2019
Crystal droplets cascading down a pair of cheeks
Each illuminated by the light of the moon
The sky seems to be empty of stars tonight
Letting darkness seep into her veins so soon

Isn’t it pitiful?

Her eyes became an overflowing river
With nothing else to blame but her own
The warmth of the sun had left
As the coldness of the night made itself known

“The universe is merciless,” she had thought.

Cosmic Travellers
Myka Jul 2019
The children of the moon are born with golden wings,
flying through the cosmos, travelling worlds and visiting stars.
They pick at the shackles of their realities, hoping to find another,
with glazed eyes, lunar-powered minds and beating hearts.

Sleepwalking in the day, daydreaming at night,
Fluttering their wings as they wear their hearts on their sleeves.
They are the Dreamers, moonstruck wanderers, who dream
to bring truth to their stardust-sprinkled make-believes.
