They tell us to be individuals,
But give us a uniform,
To protect us from each other,
Because were humans and we judge.

The clothes we wear define us,
The way we speak undermines us,
The way we act proves whether were good or bad
But the things we feel stay inside us.

Maybe we should destroy mirrors,
To then destroy our own problems.
The things we hate about ourselves
Become reflected on others
In fits of jealousy.

I guess to be individuals,
We must expect to be judged,
We have to sink into the crowd,
To eliminate that judgement.
But it won't change a thing
Because there will always be something
That people don't like about us.

There's your individuality.

I see you. Standing there, a distinct shape in the shadows. I see you, watching me. The mystique **** of your eyes dancing over my flesh.

I fear not the power of your gaze.
Until I find myself cowering in that parallel universe of backwards mazes.
Left as a child to discover a door to her rusting cage.

I see you as I'm (not) cowering.  The vision of a man with  blue eyes on fire.

The characters you form into words

                                     tingle on my tongue

I can almost taste them
                                         like sweetness
                                                       laced with luxuria

I'd love to pause within them
so that I could just sit
                                     unnoticed
            while you scribe beautiful
                            curls and swirls
                                             around me

Your pen in motion would tell me
             how my name would sound
                    when whispered by you.

Tiptoeing
                          around loving words so gentle
I would feel them beneath my toes
                                           as they brush over them

                                                                playfully

    Wandering slowly between phrases,
phrases that truly capture my heart
          causing an ache inside
            so deep
it's not in my chest anymore

          Longingly lingering in your stanzas
                                     filled with metaphors
                                                            decorated
                                                   with your scent
I close my eyes, and inhale

        My pupils dilate
  at the thought of you,
                             writing

There's such an intense
                                            expression
                                           on your face

I want to reach out ....

If you didn't notice me
             I could stare deep
   into those delicious eyes
                                    so dark

    I sit here,
I wonder what I would see..
I wonder what you are like..

imagine if we wrote 'ampersand' instead of 'and'.
ampersand you invited me into the light, cuddled me senseless in our darkness. i swear i could see for the first time. i told you i loved the sea, but your words crashed like waves on the breakwaters gating my heart.
"bae, we cannot always be beside what we love".
maybe that's the nature of our love. that your deflated buoy can no longer save the drowning me, that you sink deeper in your abyss of ideals.
Today i'm writing a postcard to you from my past, hoping you could extrapolate into the possibilities of our future. We made hypothetical promises in our religious fervour, in the unsettling chill of a certain Midsummer night.
I am
a Stereotype.
I am the heat of the moment, the fifty dollar casually cast.
I still shine like Gold in the air of Summer.
Your embodiment without her voice
A pleasure, novel.
A careless earnestness spilling out from your mouth after
countless downs of table wine.
I am the Bourbon that gifts sanity.
Your unnecessarily complicated sanctuary.

*Seek me.
So **** before the shadows
Like silk against the light

Passion unbreakable
Gummed above the grave

Be watchful
There are ghosts under the mist

Shining awake
Saying goodbye

A phone ringing somewhere
For how long

Forget to go home
Wondering why

The vision has died

Weighing the strength of my hand down to a milligram.
Treat beef like green eggs and ham.
Million dollar man with a back up plan.
Standing ground, wherever I land.
Lady luck, playing my hand.
Over look, what they can't understand.
Too busy being a *****; I'm busy being the man.
