The beautiful entity that hides in the walls of insecurities,
Drenched in septic opinions.
Purity in a brink of lost from the influence of invisible fears,
Drowning, almost - breathless
Little bit of innocence and its essence, survived!
Making life still worthwhile.

I'm between two minds
Two synapses
The cracks in the freeway
Take me to the stargazing spot
Tripping
The stars will drop from the sky
To your eyes
And I'm falling in love
Slow love
The way I told you to love me
But I think your hands knew to fancy me before your mind did
Tripping
We kissed
For hours
On the hood of your car
And the world was melting away
But it really was
Melting away
Tripping
And it didn't take too much
To fall
For you

This house shakes beneath your weight
And I was never very good at steadying things
Maybe I'll just set it to flames
With lipstick stained cigarette butts
Instead

[Here lies...]*

Here lies memory.

Kneeling grief,
monologue
cloaking grave stones
loveless hands polished.

Self pity
in automotion.

Solitude.

Who will love us now?
Retelling stories
of  the gone past,
biased truth
to elude
this
emptyness.

I am distant

I am
the cold wind
howling through
Bare trees

I am
a single
snowflake
falling
to the pavement
melting on impact

I am
the spitting
before the rain

I am nothing
except a warning
before the big storm

It is nothing
Because
I feel nothing
I mean nothing
To this lonely world

I'm better now.
It only hurts when
I manage to
Breathe.

I'll help you pack.
Carry to your Volvo.
When you leave,
I'll either wave back or

Throw this stone
When I know you're
Out of
Reach.

You thank me for taking
Things so well.

Remember, only one of us
Stopped loving
The other.
The other

Is still the same. Only pale with
Pain and shortness of breath.

After denial, confusion and
Anger, all that's left is
Character.
Will you scream at the sword
As it turns, or laugh
Carelessly bleeding out?

I'll handle things how I always
Have. Carve my features on
This stone, so my softness won't
Soften you.

I'm more than
Just a straight face,
You know.
sometimes you just have to
drink yourself to sleep and
hope you don’t get ill seeing
all the smashed hearts
on the sidewalk
in the morning
you and your mascara
just ran on home.
