Music's my greatest comfort
until one day

So many poems
and stories
have gone unwritten
due to fear of not being good enough

After someone gives up on their life
there are always many to wonder "why?"
or say "I can't see a reason!"
when the answer was right in front of them
sometimes for years
and they just let it all slide.

My hair is covered, my intellect is not.
My feet are covered, yet I'm still going places.

My ears are covered, my hearing is not.
My back is covered, yet I'm still standing.

You've imprisoned my tongue, my words will never surrender.
You've imprisoned yourself, yet I'm still trying to set you free.

Passionate, intellectual,
You have an intense pure aura
I feel peaceful and calm around you
I feel drawn to you
When I'm near you it's like a connection that I felt from a past life
