Mercedeze Marsh Dec 2014
I run through the darkness,
Wind pressing against my face,
I hear a noise,
I quicken my pace.

I keep running,
I see the air I'm breathing,
I keep breathing faster,
Knowing I have a follower.

I hear a growl,
I quickly turn around,
I stop fast in my tracks.
To see it's my fears,
Standing above the ground.

I stand fast,
I stand my ground,
Against my biggest fears,
I'm no longer safe and sound.
I know my fears and they hurt to face, but each and every day I learn to face one. I'm no longer afraid.
Mercedeze Marsh Dec 2014
I set my hopes high,
For each and every night,
The faith you give me,
Like a twinkle in the sky,

Nothing is like you and I.
I give you my all,
I try my best,
But yet all this is doing,
Is leading the game at best.

You say you like me,
I like you too.
I give my hopes,
For maybe me and you.

But now I feel,
All this is a game,
Please stop toying,
With my heart strings.
Well this is about someone I care about a lot and I feel like it's nothing but games.
