Sundowner

Lately
life seems
like a waking
dream
and I’ve been
sleeping
my days away
awakening
to a sundown
setting in
my window
and there’s
this feeling
in the air
so real, surreal
a real sundowner.
Stay well, poets.

Everyday
no matter what's going on,
Just find a little place in you
To stay warm &
Escape the darkness
That sometimes
Is this world.
Everyday
no matter what's going on,
Find a little place in you

to me,
you are
an art

                              to you,
                              I was
                              a tragedy
you still remain, and will always be
a fine piece of art
to me.
// edit: thank you for having this in the daily. ♡
For my birthday he gifted me:
Several packets of salt to gargle my throat,
Rolls of tissue paper,
Vitamin C  tablets
Sanitizers,
Masks and dettol sprays.
I love you tons and tons,
Be safe for me.

A poem is not finished
until it is read or heard by another.

So when you read or listen
you become a partner
in this humble endeavor.
We are
joined
coupled
engaged
embarked
walking together
united
for one eternal moment
now.

because in all of his destruction,
in all of his lies and chaos,
he’s given me a place to feel safe
i think by now you should know it’s you.

been through too much,

dealt with too little.
i cant cope with much anymore. i’m almost numb; desensitized, if you will.
