Taylor Jennica
My name is Taylor and I have a tooth that tucks behind one of my front teeth.

I say this as my first sentence because when I look at myself in the mirror and smile, that is the first thing I notice.

But a compliment I've heard more times than once, "You have a beautiful smile."

I  wonder how many things in life are like that...

Qualities or characteristics that people agonize over are the very things that others appreciate and admire.

impossible
If I can love
With a broken heart

If I can smile
With a broken mind

Then I can fly
With a broken wing

Fly I will,
Fly
I
Will

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
The darkness, oh, the darkness.
The velvety feel of the darkness,
The sinister songs of heavy and crackling silence,
-that bathe in the darkness.
Enwrapping me in a loving embrace,
The darkness
Stealing my sleep, plaguing me with memories,
The darkness
Keeper of my secrets and sorrows,
Pulling me in,
Wiping my tears,
The darkness.
Oh, the darkness.
Mon chéri,
The darkness.
Mi amor,
The darkness.
My muse, my friend, my companion.
The darkness,
Oh, the darkness.
I have struggled immensely with sleep for almost a year now; I tend to still, find peace in staring into nothingness. Like maybe one day, the nothingness can become something MORE, something better. Anyhow, enough of me. Enjoy, and leave your thoughts below ❤️

Dad
Dad, I am going to try and write this
It may be a poem
It may not
But from my heart
I miss you
I remember the last time I kissed you
Your eyes were closed
They opened wide
As I kissed your forehead
In that terrible place
So white and clean
Where people die
But you will never die
Dad
I love you so much
And you will always live on
In my heart
Forever
God, I miss you so much
It's so hard to write through the tears

meet me by the sunset tree
meet me at the lonely sea

meet me now and meet me then
meet me soon and yet again

meet me while the music plays
meet me through the brightest days

meet me with a broken rose
meet me where the water flows

meet me neath a weeping moon
meet me past a tarnished noon

meet me on my lowest tide
meet me even if I lied

meet me when the tale is told
meet me as the wind grows cold

meet me in the sullen chill
meet me if you love me still

She stole daffodils
from park benches
and cemeteries
She told herself she was no
Monster
but a light-fingered missus,
just after a glimpse of the next world.
Besides turning to serenity
she lied to herself
cherishing her conscientiousness
If you listen carefully
Silence will speak
Sometimes too stubborn to hear
Or too weak
Volumes in what is not said
The wind
The crickets
Scuffing feet and creaky beds
The conscience replaying
Pets and peeves
The want to stays and want to leaves
Adjusting to your willingness
To accept the more
And the less
If you can hear it
You will know
Silence speaks straight to the soul
