I saw you smiling
Correction; laughing
I just hope she knows you’re lying
And your words mean nothing
But bottles filled with empty promises
I hope she finds out the truth
Before it’s too late
I hope she saves herself from you.

I was offended
when you accused me
of being desperate
but I guess it was true
I wouldn't have come to you
if I wasn't so desperate
to have a comforting soul
to have someone's arms
tightly wrapped around me
not letting me fall into pieces
so yes
I was desperate enough
to look for a shelter
for my aching heart
and homeless soul.

Shattered glass
Personalities masked
Normal on the outside
But her feelings contrast
Salt water tears
Familiar on her skin
From fighting a battle
She won’t ever win
Ripped t shirts
Bruised arms and knees
Constant reminders
Of what shouldn’t be
Beautifully broken
She smiles through the pain
One day there will be sunshine
After all this rain

It hurts the most
When the person
That made you feel wanted yesterday
Made you feel so unwanted today.

Messy Thoughts
most people see me as
a happy person because
i laugh easily,
i smile a lot,
i joke a lot.

but deep down
in my heart,
i am fragile,
i can get hurt easily,
but i choose to not
show it to the world.

instead of being sad,
i choose to laugh to cover it.
maybe you can call me
"the queen of the mask"

by this,
you can tell
that most of the time
when I'm laughing,
I'm not really laughing,
i was trying so hard to hide
my sadness.
