In The Name

In the name of love I take a step,
scribing a song from heart that radiates.
They pulsate with every moment,
swirling to seed its truth in a mind.

In the name of words I shall write,
putting paper to pen to find rhythms.
They spiral in scripted form
opening to awaken those who gather.

In the name of love, I open eyes
dancing to celebrate the gift of life.
They echo bridging the gap,
to awaken all inside peace and oneness.

I want to die.
I want to ****.
I want to help.
I want to live.

Life is a lie.
You need the will
To not give up —
Will to survive.

You learn to lie.
You learn to steal.
You will not stop.
You don't believe.

"That's outrageous!" He said.
"You're a ******* fool" I muttered.
That's pennies on the dream.
If you think that the four dollars
And 29 cents is for a piece of plastic with some ink and a ballpoint then you're probably just making a grocery list.
A pen  is not for scribbling to do lists.
There is an app for that.

A pen is for unlocking dreams and opening windows.
It's for recording the nightmares and victories of a life worth living.
If you don't have PTSD from one thing or another by 28, then you aren't living right.

"You're a madman" he chuckled.
Maybe so.
But I think the price is worth it.

They tried to break me, but this

blood that runs in me, is made of ink.

And these unbreakable bones, are made of poetry.

I wish my eyes were cameras,
and my eyelids the lenses.
I wish I was the photographer,
and you my lovely scenery.
So I could forever keep that memory,
and you wouldn't pose for it;
to catch you off guard,
with your true beauty so freely showing.
To snap a picture of your merciful eyes,
your innocent smile,
and your childish cheekbones,
with your hair freely flowing;
adorning the monument that is your smile.
That way I could truly freeze time,
and I'd have something to remember,
the day I made you smile,
and you made my heart worth its beat.
