bless the weakest those who feel the very souls
who suffer if far near unknown
bless those who speak in truths
whether or  not  it furthers their causes
bruises their hearts
takes that toll
bless the meek as the bible said
would inherit this earth
as prophecies spoken
mere worded phrases speak the god
talk the angels wing flutter upon
here
there are angels
there are demons
there is sufferings
and plagues
hardnesses seen how each being each
flowered ****
goes through these  stages
like our blindnesses
we feel how the hurts surround us
and few those gifted
those who deserve blessings
have this new sense this soul
that lifts the spirits of the eagles wings
to soar above the tallest
mountains and me
who tries so hard to suffer
self flaggelate and  shudder
harm myself when others need
take off now
trying to be winged
to be an angel
with time left to utter
a word
a prayer
a hope

sea is calm
no wind
coastal waits anxious
when this happiness end

Forget
What
Hurt
You
But
Never
  Forget
What
It
  Taught
You

We are the scribes,
the poets that open hearts to change the world.

We are the sages,
that move cross desserts that need our lyrics as if water.

We are ground breakers,
who lead the many to travel in our vortex of words.

We are special ones
who awaken mankind inside love
launching dreams, trust, and peace.

The place I came from was known locally
As Apache country
Later to become the Lebanon
I guess you get the drift
Even to this day
Taxis are loath to go there after dark
And nobody blames them

Everybody smoked back then
And most men got drunk too often
Women might get a little merry
When weekend came round
Most men hated their jobs
And many women hated their lives
But everyone carried on
Because it had to be done

In the streets I learned every swear word
Long before I started school
In a place where "****** this"
And "****** that" and worse
Were everyday parlance
Nobody ever mentioned "love"
Oh, don't get me wrong
I know that there was love around
But I only ever heard it mentioned

And
Bestow
Light
Upon
Earth
And

I always thought I would find the perfect man.
That growing up I'd have security with a job.
It was untrue.

I always thought siblings were meant to get along.
That I would become older to understand life.
It was not true.

I always thought having a house
and money would bring happiness.
That being a good person meant always saying "yes."
It was untrue.

Now I know that no one's perfect.
Security comes from connecting to love.
Siblings aid in teaching lessons.
Life can't be understood until death.
Happiness comes from living in the heart.
And saying "NO" is an honoring gift to self
