Set me on fire;
Put a match to my clothes
Watch me rise in a pillar of flame,
Listen to my livid screams of pain.
Feel my existence slowly fade
As my body finishes fueling the glow,
As my screams mellow into the silent cracks.

In time, the fire will turn to embering ash.
I will have been consumed by a long gone inferno.
And when I have been burned to the ground,
I know that the only place I can go is up.
Im not sure why I write so much about fire. I mean I don’t think it describes me or anything.
Last I saw you,
Snowflakes were melting in your lashes,
Rolling down your face as if they were your tears.
Before freezing in the trap set by your words.
There they were, in the frozen drops, many reflections:
Of me... of the cat... and of the window by the tiers.

You came in with the blue smell of the sea,
Of a sea not yet frozen but covered with snow.
Your head was in a cloud, as it still is,
A cloud cold to the touch,
And in the wind, dispersing.
It was the halo of your mane.
That looked soft but was deceiving.

Me, myself, and I are warm now,
With my pressed flowers,
Dry by the hearth.
The reflections are in the flames now,
Not in tears.
The orange glow of the pages past illuminate a new future,
And the boat in the blizzard houses my heart no more.

The world is a mirror
If you love it
You will receive love

But you must start at your mirror
If you love yourself
You will receive your love

I don't always love the world
Perhaps it doesn't always love me
But what I give I receive

I don't always love my reflection
It certainly despises me
But sometimes we get along rather nicely

I am trying to love the world
Ceaselessly
As it grows to love me
For we are one in the same

I am trying to love my reflection
Relentlessly
And it grows to love me
For we are one in the same.
