governments who fear to hear
the voices of their citizens
are well advised
to mend their ways
(Christmas haikus)

I'm sitting across
an old .eucalyptus tree
leaves are not  moving

in...out....so quiet
the hummingbirds are nowhere
curtain lights are still

has time stopped? no way!
Christmas bells rang, lights sparkled
...just two days ago

poinsettias are hushed
Christmas lull seeps into me
...am glad....clock still ticks...

rrab
(not too cold at the backyard...to,write)
And so it's still dark
From last night
On into today

I have yet to see
A single sun ray

Should the sun come up
Behind a grey dull sky

With not a spark to guide
My wondering eyes

Poetically blind
I try with all of my might

But I can't find nothing
Not a single thing to write

   Blinded by
This long winter's night....
Traveler Tim
Midday weirdly
foisting
           Gay
balloons of water out

tomorrow's tears wave
In brightly colored sheets
Of cotton snowfall

August

Last year
Bitterness burns,
inside.
It takes my breath away;
can I cry?
Do I have shelter,
or shall I succumb?
My eyes only focus
on my regrets of the past.

My fingers only touch
my scars that never heal.

My ears only hear
my own vitriol.

My words only mention
me, myself, and I.

Self-absorbed in pain.

If the
weight of thoughts
could wear away
the resilience
of the broken bough,

I must’ve done
something terribly
wrong
to feel the way
that I do
right now.
