A distant dissonance
Deepens in threat
As my lips form new syllables
And fingers, new frets
It’s my grandmother’s voice—
My namesake, in fact—
That waltzes in echoes
Through bright chambered chest
Amassing new power
Revving dense to unfurl
Like peonies in bloom, or
Cherry blossom pearls
In descent.

It’s true:
That for which I’m meant—
Good time,
Good fortune,
Good riddance—
I will only know
After roared repent
Where I’ll expel
Dusk’s detriment,
And bellow soul’s
Percussive song
In long-overdue
Performance

It's snowing covid
We've all had to take shelter from the storm.

We're wearing gloves & masks
As if it were freezing cold
We can see everyone's breath
Friends lovers strangers
Our own
carrying death.

Dangerous to go to the store
Apocalyptic vibes

We're like magnets staying polar opposites
pinballing around the room
To avoid each other

Total intimacy
Total isolation
Perfect relationships for the 21st Century
Everything's slowed down
Tahoe blue skies
Carbon ****** away
Coyotes running through the streets
The whole planet on furlough
Creative projects
Free at last
The agoraphobics *******
Rich in time
Poor in money
We're reminded once again
Nature bats last.

Ever since it started snowing covid.

Where we're going from here,
We don't know
Wishful thinking
Careful planning
It's all in the cellular snow
And it just keeps on snowing
its been said before
The one thing we do know
There's a bad moon on the rise
But
The seasons come and go
Wars they come and go
And the snow eventually blows away with the winds.
(Or at least when the vaccine blows in).

"Bad moon on the rise"
"Bad Moon Rising" John Fogerty, 1969

It is a vacant place now
this world didn't deserve you
you were incandescent in nature,
when all the lights went out.

The lies they told you
were designed to hold you
the wounds that never healed
you wouldn't speak of them;
you wore your camouflage daily
and I never understood,
how that smile was your tourniquet.

Blink first please
I need this win
when you're always right
the argument will never end.

What bookends, are we:
you, a verbal conquistador---
who seeks to conquer the conversation
and I, an unwavering peacemaker---
who extends the olive branch
ready to give right in.

Tomorrow's beautiful plains
are difficult
to behold,
from behind shrubs of fear,
growing by streams
in the valley of doubt.

Her glory
may never be felt
by those
who glory,
in emptiness,
recklessness
and defeat.
Sometimes thinking of the future may make one nervous. We may eventually feel reluctant to try but it's better to face our fears, so we could look back and smile.

CLARYT
It's sublime!
The midnight back stroke,
The 3am kiss on the neck,
The 5am feeling of groin reunion,
That sweet, musky scent,
The scent of dawn love,
Raw, warm tingly dawn redemption,
The ***** relief from loves slumber,
When we get to indulge,
Sublime, my love,
Sublime,
Wait....

what force or what pressure
could ever
compress you

enough to force you
to transform

deep down in your core
may be one filthy diamond

my thoughts about you do not rhyme
they are too twisted to repeat
the part of me that wants you
is a part of me that cannot speak
